GeauxColonels
This was just revealed last weekend. It was designed by Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv. It's simple, but something feels off about it, to me...I think, at least for me, it seems a bit off because the blue border on the left is not offset on the right with a white border around the blue. It's understandable why it's like that. But I think it creates an unbalanced look.
Sport
It's unbalanced, and with the reversed colors it feels like I'm looking at some of kind of optical illusion. It's not pleasing visually. And that font isn't befitting of the prestige most institutions of higher learning want to convey.I don't like it. Sport Billy
Seriously, that looks like someone woke up and realized they were supposed to have a logo ready for a 9:00 meeting and they hadn't even started on it.
Sport Billy
Oh :censored:,Looks like they spent $100,000 on three logos no one likedhttp://totalfratmove.com/university-of-new-hampshire-pays-100k-for-new-logos-students-hate-them/And http://nhpr.org/post/unh-president-opens-logo-deliberations-public-amid-uproarSo then they spent $65,000 to redo thathttp://www.universityherald.com/articles/6146/20131211/university-of-new-hampshire-releases-new-65-000-logo-to-underwhelming-response-photo.htmAs to the new logo:"The blue and white logo expresses UNH's official colors and symbolically represents the blue water and white snow that draw so many people to the Granite State,"Here's the old logoThey claim it wasn't representative of the satellite campuses

pcgd
The one with the mockups on the second link is so much better than the one they went with. Not saying $100k is the right price but the number of people that think these simple logos develop out of thin air, shouldn't cost very much, and can be done by "anyone" is unsettling. If you think anyone can do it, please go take a look at Zazzle or Cafepress to see what "anyone" can do.
matthew516
That middle one in the first set wasn't bad at all. Isolated from horrible options on either side, it might have done well.
