This is the first I've seen that actually outlines the timetable for the FSU changes.

Haven't watched any of their game with all the other good games on, but the facemasks are already supposed to be adjusted for today's game.

Facemask still looks purple. Must not have made the switch yet.

They did say that no changes were going to be made for todays game.

According the original report on the changes, they said no changes would be made for todays game. Here is the link, scrolll down to the last tweet.

I am not saying they actually did make the facemask change in time for today's game.

However, you would choose to believe a third party media outlet over the actual university athletic website?

The helmet is clearly blue

It is blue, but it has a purple tint to it.During that game last weekend everyone sitting around me at Commonwealth Stadium mentioned that the metallic color looks purple when the sun hits is a certain way. In fact, I mentioned something to @UKAthletics about it and they said they have had quite a few compliants about it already.

Also Florida state is changing helmet back to a more gold color within a few weeks and fixing facemask color. Also white jersey numbers switched to garnet before the end of the year. Thank god.

That's how Miami should look. Much better than last week IMO. The one thing that would make it better is white pants, but this is nice.

There are photos on ESPN.com that show the facemasks to be slightly more garnet (and less purple) which suggests a slight change was made. It's still not perfect. The weird thing was seeing a Week 2 FSU game with no tomahawk award stickers. Hopefully they haven't abandoned them.

What is the texture on UK 's helmet? I really like it and don't think I've ever seen it before.

Oregon looked absolutely fantastic today. I mean that.

I love the yellow, cleats socks and all. IMO they were a yellow helmet away from perfection.

And msu looked fine but I think I preferred the shoulder yoke.

FSU's facemasks looked slightly redder today, but I'm sure that just has to do with their being a different light source today.

No it doesn't. That reasoning is really weak. Teams with color-focused nicknames have other accent colors as well. The sky blue is a better accent color than the Granny Smith green.

The thing I don't like about it is that it has a different color facemask than the shell, whereas every other helmet shell and facemask are the same. That and I think the gradient wings are unnecessary and should just be solid yellow.

Ya dude if you're gonna provide argument backing don't provide photoshopped images that the teams never worn. As for the green one, they're not supposed to contrast much on that helmet, and it's basically a winged version of their former primary helmet. I'm not a big fan of that helmet either.

Guys, I found the perfect college uniform, may I present, the College of Faith

Look at that no nonsense look, wearing a uniform like that gives off a blue collar vibe that shows how hard of a worker your team is. Show up to a game dressed like that and it shows the other team that you are a scrappy gym rat that when push comes to shove, will fight to the end.

Nope. Both those uniforms sucks. The white team is wearing practice jerseys with mid 2000's Nike pants, and don't even get me started about the team in black.

Tusculum is my alma mater, I went to an offsite campus in Knoxville, but man did not realize their uniforms are that bad.

However for some reason I have always liked the logo.

One of the best QB's to come out of Tusculum on a side note was Tony Colston who played several years in Arena League.

I have actually played a lot of basketball with him in the last few years. He also went & played in Spain which I thought was pretty cool...

Some other notes from other games :

Wyoming (White helmet - Brown Jersey - Gold Pants) vs Air Force (White helmet - Gray jersey - White pants )

Northwestern wore their Flag helmet as NIU wore the all whites as shown a few pages back

North Carolina switched their end zone art up alternating between black and carolina blue for the words in the end zone and also had the midfield logo striped as well

Old Dominion also wore the wacky Navy knock off helmet in maybe the worst uni-match up of the day as NC State wore their BFBS jersey
