WSU151
Does anybody else wonder why, despite Oregon being the #2 seed and Ohio State being the #4 seed, the Bucks are the home team and the Ducks are the away team?Technically, Oregon is the higher seed and "chose" to wear white. Higher seeds don't have to wear dark jerseys. If it was #2 LSU playing #4 Ohio State, no one would think twice about the Tigers wearing white. The problem lies with two things: Nike insisting the white jersey should just be white, silver, and black...and idiots on social media who, after seeing silver-and-black Oregon, flood Oregon's in-boxes with "THOSE ARE SICK!!!!OMG!!!!TAKEMYMONEY!!1" Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
FiddySicks
Ok here's an odd one though. The last time Ohio State won the National title, and the last time Ohio State beat Oregon in a bowl game (2010 Rose Bowl) they wore white. Maybe that's the superstition? I dunno. Probably not. illini1
It looks like Nike might have made up the 27° story to cover up an error in applying the O's in the manufacturing process. The O isn't even close to being rotated 27°. http://deadspin.com/oregons-new-uniforms-are-sewn-together-with-lies-1677541396
WSU151
All that effort and someone sewed the collar "O" on crooked.it's at a 27 degree angle cant you tell ? From a commentor on Nike Football's Facebook: Anyone notice that in addition to the slightly crooked but nowhere near 27 degree tilted 'O', the silver 'wings' are lopsided? One side starts much closer to the point of the v neck than the other. I didn't catch that at first... Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. I doubt many people even on this board would have noticed. I figured base layer = undershirt, and it would be a fringe detail. I kept trying to figure out if the O on the jersey was crooked as well. Smart is believing half of what you hear. JPDesign
It is the wings on the baselayer that are tilted 27-degrees. Uniwatch got everyone riled up because the "O" on the jersey wasn't tilted 27-degrees, due to an errant Facebook comment. Primzahl
IMO I can't wait to see how these Oregon uni's look on that Cowboys Stadium field. The reflection of that field and roof always make jerseys look really nice and I bet that's why they chose the white, but they still should've AT LEAST made the number font green. I like the uni matchup though. Especially OSU.

oldschoolvikings
That Oregon uniform looks pretty dull to me. They went from looking as good as they have in years last week (the return of the helmet O and the duck head sleeve logo were very nice, and that shade of green was gorgeous), to looking like a generic Nike place holder. Dumb. http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/

I'm just hoping this game doesn't turn out like last year's Arizona game, where they wore uniforms that were devoid of any color.

BrandMooreArt
the white and gray Oregon uniform is a great option for them. if you think they should wear something they've worn before, you don't know their primary uniform direction; dont wear the same thing twice (this includes socks, cleats, gloves, combos). there is no reason for them to wear their school colors every week and especially not for this game (its a special occasion; dress up). the Oregon football program has it's own palette (greens and yellows which are variations of school Pantone swatches) and they are always recognizable. no one will confuse them for anyone else and just because they're wearing gray pants doesnt mean they "look like OSU". c'mon, now. Oregon football has one of the strongest brands in CFB because their identity is consistent (consistently different in color combos while sticking to the same palette and the shapes in the uni never change) and they do what they preach which is variations of "blaze your own path", "do things better", and it's sold with phrases like "tradition never changes, champions do".Oregon/Nike doesnt care what a school "should" do. they're here now because they dared to be different and create a new niche. Chip Kelly has the same approach to the game, and they're just caring on those philosophies. instead of criticizing Oregon for what they've done and what you think they should do, you should sit back and watch the show, learn from it, because this is branding at it's finest. TheFallenHaveRisen
^ Yeah, that's a whole lot of nonsense.Just because you don't agree with something doesn't make it nonsense. Think about it, even though this uniform is in Greyscale, almost anyone who watches College Football regularly would be able to tell you that's Oregon.
