Are those supposed to be sleeve stripes or shoulder stripes?The best part about those MSU unis are the white facemask.Sorry if this has already been addressed but why is "Hail State" allowed on a football jersey when Baylor's "Sic 'em Bears" basketball uniforms weren't allowed? According to an article about the Baylor Bears on Forbes, here is a piece of the article that stood out for me: "The 2013 and 2014 NCAA Football Rules and Interpretations manual provides that along with a player’s number, a football jersey may only contain the player’s name; school name; NCAA Football logo; sleeve stripes; insignia for the school, conference, mascot, postseason game, memorial or the military; or an American or state flag. Given the presence of the broad category of “insignia” in the rule, it is likely that a Baylor football uniform could feature the phrase." Thus, how is Miss. State getting by using "Hail State?" Someone please correct me if wrongYes, the MSU AD said they were "vintage" uniforms reminisant of the 90s unis, and would only be worn in the first game of the year against Southern Miss. He also said that there will be special Egg Bowl unis for the 4th straight year.EDIT- Hail State is trademarked. Midway Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 FWIW I've never felt Miss St. has ever had a solid identity in the football world. They came close just this past year with the nice ribbon motif but still looked like A&M's neglected little brother. At this point, they kinda need some sort of visual like the huge hip logo to put them on the map and get people talking.It would also help if they'd permanently adopt and infuse gold accents here and there to go with their maroon.
