Billy B
So Beasley's going through allocation? I thought DPs were exempt from allocation? I think it's up to MLS to decide whether or not the player is important enough to warrant a bypassing of the allocation system. That typically happens to guys like Dempsey and Bradley. What I read somewhere (can't remember where) that made the most sense was that guys getting big DP contracts like Dempsey and Bradley could agree to a contract with whoever they wanted. Once they had the salary and transfer fee worked out, all the teams ahead of them in the allocation order could've matched that offer and had them. But it's hard to know what's going on with some of these rules and how they're applied.

VictoriaGooner
Announced today that Frank Lampard officially joins NYCFC on a two-year deal. Rumblings are that he might go either on loan or stay in England to train with another English club prior to the 2015 MLS seasonOn a note of DeMerit retiring, that is a shame because he was a work horse for VWFC as a central defender. Here's hoping he will go into coaching. THE SHORT FUSE | ARSEBLOG

VictoriaGooner
Julio Cesar is recalled to QPR from his loan spell with TFC. That leaves a bit of a void between the TFC goal posts. He was a nice addition to TFC and helped them get organized in the back. Though with Green signing a two-year contract extension at QPR, what does that leave for Cesar? He was a nice addition to TFC and helped them get organized in the back. Though with Green signing a two-year contract extension at QPR, what does that leave for Cesar?Considering his cap hit (147 thousand) I think Bendik is a fine keeper who isn't breaking the bank to keep. That said, loosing Cesar sucks for sure. It's near impossible to put a price on that experience and knowledge. Who knows what his future is? Maybe a permanent move to MLS is in the future? crashcarson15
Wasn't this the entire plan with Cesar though? Loaning him out up until the World Cup and then recalling him for the start of QPR's next campaign was what I thought the plan was all along.
