People will find a problem with anything.

The original thing we all hate is the NFL's corporization of the Super Bowl logo, gone from unique and awesome to bland and Orwellian. Then you take the subsequent merchandise with the logo, and produce some marginally-pleasing results, including this case.

The whole Super Bowl logo hate is getting really over the top now. Orwellian? What the hell are you smoking? I think I posted something similar a year ago, but the Super Bowl logos aren't these unholy abominations most people are making them out to be. I do miss the unique logos as much as everyone else, but what they're doing now is alright.

I personally think this years logo is the best since they introduced the uniformed concept.

Going this route, they got some cool things they could possibly do in the next few years.

These definitely remind me of the Nikes from Back To The Future.

Yes, it's a good logo by itself, but it gets old when basically the same logo was used for SB 45, 46, 47, and now 48. I could see next year being the last, thankfully, as L, LI, and LV won't work under this format.

Not bad. No gripes from me. But I'm probably the biggest Nike fan around, so...

I'd love to own this coat:

Same here. I think thise vertical zippers are really catching on now. You'll see everyone doing them on a piece over the next year or 2

The heavy coat looks like it belongs on some Star-Trek show.

had one similar to that when I was a 5 year old in 1976. It has astronaut patches on it. Or maybe evel knievel racing patches? I can't remember.

I am sore, wounded, but not slain

I will lay down and bleed a while

And then rise up to fight again

Here's a serious question what about Nike bothers some of you guys so much?

I'll give you my short list...

1. Their insistence on pushing their brand/themselves over everything else. (see Seahawks uniform, especially the swoosh and design surrounding it on the jersey)

2. Their awful 'innovations' in uniform design.

3. Their overuse of neon/dayglo colors.

4. Their 'experimentation' with Oregon.

I can only speak for myself.

Nike bothers me because they are the prime example of a very negative trend in sports uniform design. That is the trend of using uniforms to promote the manufacturers ahead of the teams. Take Oregon's National Championship Game uniforms from a few years back. Those uniforms weren't about promoting the Oregon Ducks or University of Oregon athletics. They were all about promoting Nike by stripping the team colours away and using colours more in line with their own Nike-branded athletic gear. Or take a look at the Seattle Seahawks' current uniforms. There's a sleeve design element (the neon green shape) that seemingly exists only to showcase the Nike swoosh logos on the sleeves.

The Olympic hockey sweaters are another example. The out there, seemingly random design elements exist only to promote Nike. Not the international teams themselves.

Now Nike isn't the only one who does this. Reebok/Adidas and Under Armour are both guilty of this as well, but Nike's the one who really got the ball rolling on that trend, and who continues to push it the hardest. So when Nike remembers how to make uniforms that highlight the teams instead of their own brand then I'll stop complaining about them. Until then I suggest that you and the rest of Nike's fans stop getting upset when people disagree with you.

Quit complaining.

So people who disagree with you should just keep quiet?

This is a very nice set.

In your opinion. To some of us it's more of the same from Nike.

"More of the same from Nike". A consistent identity wrapped around brand new, original products. Some might say thats good branding. Some might even teach it. Some might say thats how Nike gotto be #1 in their industry

1. What about their uniform? The volt color predates Nike by a couple years in Seattle. The swoosh is accented sure, but it doesn't take much away from the jersey for me if at all. Besides that it's just a nice uniform that is done like any other. Also try and tell me how the Vikings and Dolphins reflect Nike? The Jaguars' uniforms are crazy, but that's not Nike.

2. From the naked eye, uniforms look the same as they did 4 years ago. I don't see the issue.

3. Oooohh, one team uses neon green that had previously used it as well. That's now overuse? BTW the SB gear is just using volt as a place holder color.

4. Oregon and their fans love it. I don't see the issue.

ya it's a lot better than what adidas does which pretty much has to have 3 stripes in their designs on uniforms, especially in soccer.
