OhioSportsMan61 1,414 Posted January 30, 2014 So much amazingness in this thread, great work! I really like the panthers alt, fits in perfectly with the set you created. The Oilers' yokes are very interesting to say the least. Detroit alt is beautiful, and the CBJ color palette is very sharp too.
CLAW 6 Posted January 30, 2014 I love the flames and stars the best. I feel like they would both be solid sets for real-life AHL-affiliates of Calgary and Dallas
Moser316 36 Posted January 30, 2014 From this batch, I'm going to have to echo what was previously said about the Stars color scheme: the green is just too dark. I thought it was black at first glance until I read otherwise. Lighten it up just a little bit (just enough so it reads green) and you'll have a winner on your hands.
bleuet 224 Posted January 30, 2014 ... and I bet the Reebok and Nike design teams wont even be ashamed after viewing this, saying this is "amateur" stuff. Its a pity..
LAWeaver 953 Posted January 30, 2014 This last batch almost makes me wanna cry... It's so beautiful...I feel like anything I'd have to say would just repeat that of what everyone else has said. I'd love to offer some C+C, but I just can't. There's just so much perfection in this series and it's not even halfway.(Does Standing ovation)
jmoe12 498 Posted January 30, 2014 Wow great work on all of these! I especially like the Panthers new logo.
MrWonka 329 Posted January 31, 2014 Man the Blue Jackets and Red Wings sets were great. The Florida logo looks like it's cross eyed though, I think that could greatly improve the look. Dallas.....hmmm I think I'm in love with their new look, so I wouldn't say it is a my favorite. Going with that direction is very different and I think the jerseys look pretty good. I'm too much of a fan of that logo. Maybe it's the 'roundel' around the star.
OchentaYOcho88 71 Posted January 31, 2014 I LOVE what you did with the Red Wings, the logo you designed is gorgeous!

darkpiranha 589 Posted January 31, 2014 WOW. This... THIS is how you do a redesign thread. Amazing stuff.
dgnmrwrw 124 Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks for all the feedback. There's clearly an issue with the Stars' color scheme. Like a said, this series has gone through several different changes, and at one time it was an exercise where I forced myself to redesign each team in only two colors (white excluded). For the Stars, I sort of blended the black and dark green, and this is a relic of that. So I'll go back and reevaluate their scheme, going with a lighter green and possibly adding the black again. Also, I forgot to display a larger version of the Panthers' tertiary logo, the shoulder patch from the alternate sweater. It's really just the head from the primary logo, but here it is:
MrWonka 329 Posted January 31, 2014 Hmmmm..I still think the eyes looked like they are crossed. I don't feel like I'm getting a direct stare.

sportslover12345 3 Posted February 1, 2014 Wow. Now this is how you turn the NHL into one of the best designed pro leagues in North America. Great job on all of these. Can't wait for Vancouver.
ultramark3000 1 Posted February 1, 2014 yeah, bummer about being a st louis fan, is the long wait, but i am very impressed so far, especially Calgary and Buffalo, they look simple yet...evolved at the same time. Very strong indeed!
dgnmrwrw 124 Posted February 1, 2014 Yeah, I'm seeing the cross-eyed thing now too. I'll adjust it.
Stampman 102 Posted February 1, 2014 Sorry, but to me the Flames logo you did looks more like a pompadour than flames.Nice try though, I appreciate you were trying to come up with a variation on what they do have, but this doesn't work for me.Maybe if they were the Calgary Pompadours...
ultramark3000 1 Posted February 2, 2014 whats a pompadour?also - bump to keep the best thread on the 1st page
walkerws 524 Posted February 3, 2014 Tried to emphasis the blue here: colors are dark blue and steel blue, with touches of red. The primary logo is sort of an amalgam of a military patch, a C, and some cannons. No more red pants. Uniforms are pretty straight forward, with a repeating chevron striping pattern. I think that I need to go back and tweak the typeface, because the "R" in the player names is far too similar to the "A".Secondary logoWordmarkOMG! I have a huge amount of sports love for this. Great new treatment.
MigratingToast 16 Posted February 4, 2014 The ducks logo is the only thing I'm really iffy on. I'm not sure I have seen a ducks concept I really loved yet. But your Islanders logo is astonishing!
