Brian in Boston
I remember a Super Bowl-themed episode of All In The Family. As for what year it aired in, I can't be sure. Which, in turn, makes it difficult to nail down the answer to the bonus question with any accuracy. The odds are that it would have been played in Miami or New Orleans. I'll go with a guess of "The Big Easy", New Orleans.
NoHoJoe
The Bonus was New Orleans. All in The Family was one of the two shows. What was the other show?Clue: this show has its run in the years this team played in its Super Bowls. Brian in Boston
Sometimes you just get lucky. One of my local television stations just ran a rerun of The Mary Tyler Moore Show in which Ted Baxter develops a betting system that leads him to dominate the office NFL betting pool, despite his knowing next to nothing about football. This drives sports-mad Lou Grant crazy. Ultimately, Lou throws in with Ted and the two of them make money hand-over-fist in the office pool. However, when the playoffs roll around, Ted claims that his system will no longer work and refuses to bet. Lou goes behind Ted's back, bets big on Pittsburgh to win the Super Bowl, and loses all of Ted's accrued winnings when the Steelers lose the game.A very funny episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and, amazingly, one that I'd never seen in its entirety before tonight.
