Players were just fine without them for the first century and a half of baseball, why the sudden need? The main issue with the venting, to me, is the design discontinuity that it presents. Pinstripes (when present elsewhere) are left off the vent panels, and some teams even make the vents a contrasting color against the fabric around it. Please stop. From San Berdoo to Kalamazoo. That's the one thing they made sure didn't change. I know a lot of fans who would like the MS to be used in football (I'm not one of them, I like both logos in their current positions).On another note, it looks like both Mississippi State and Western Carolina are both wearing black today.
