And it's debatable whether it should be a major-league market.

I don't see any way that this doesn't come down to Cleveland and Buffalo.

In all seriousness, while both cities have their issues off the field, Buffalo has lost it's status as a big-league market, and is in legitimate danger of losing at least the Bills, and there will never be a replacement for them since the city has shrunk and has such a poor economy and just isn't of the same caliber of most others that have pro teams.

At least Cleveland, despite Cleveland, won't lost the new Browns, the baseball team, or (probably) the Cavs. It's status as a big-league city hasn't to my knowledge been questioned, despite all of its other issues.

So it comes down to if you don't think that Buffalo has enough plate appearances to qualify, or just isn't a big-league city anymore, then it's Cleveland. If consider the fact that Buffalo itself has declined to the point where in 10-20 years it's entirely likely that there will be no teams and kids everywhere will grow up wondering how the heck Buffalo had any teams to begin with, then it's Buffalo.

Where would the Sabres go? They should be the only ones left. The NHL has markets in Canada that are about as small as Buffalo, and teams in Phoenix and Miami should move, for crying out loud.

Heck, I was born in 1990, and even I grew up wondering why Buffalo had major sports teams.

But after today's events, it's gotta be Cleveland. Those goddamn Browns.

Relax, I'm not saying the sabers should move, certainly not before those other teams, just that it could get to the point where the market can't support them or someone with money swoops in and buys them to move them to EL Paso, because OITGDNHL.

Clearly, the most suffering sports city right now is us; Boston.

:P

I was going to say this, actually. If you ignore their last 17 or so titles, it's pretty rough for them. And there's the fact that even with all the titles, they still have to live with the sad fact that they're from Boston. :upside:

What more do you people want? Sheesh, Boston fans in general act like bullies to fans in other cities, then act surprised when those other fans call them out for crying sports-misery wolf.

Good G-d man, he was kidding.

Exactly what Ice_Cap said. Seriously, if you couldn't understand from the context nor the emoticon that I was joking, then you really need to improve your reading comprehension.

This post summarizes how dumb sports fans can be. Seriously - "bullies"? You think maybe you're taking this whole thing just a tad too seriously?

I hear you guys are extremely traumatized over the fact that the New England Revolution has never won an MLS Cup.

Also is this list just for American cities or can we include cities from other countries? Because if we can include other cities then Vancouver has to be on the list somewhere.

Not only have the Canucks never won a Stanley Cup but the last two times they were in the final they lost in a heartbreaking 7 games and the low IQ members of their fan base started rioting. Then of course there is the whole matter of Vancouver losing the Grizzlies and the BS attitude of players like Steve Francis who didn't want to play in Vancouver for some stupid reason.

I think Canadian cities are kind of skewed though. They love their CFL teams as much as any American city loves their NFL teams. And the BC Lions have won 3 Grey Cups since 2000.
