NBA Changes 2014-15 Season

Is it true that the NBA simply categorizes all unis as "light" or "dark" and leaves it there? Can't be, given that the Cavs wear their gold alt (which is surely light) against white teams sometimes. At any rate it seems like more nuance needs to go into these decisions -- Charlotte in teal works against most dark uniforms (even blue ones if they're navy), but not Boston's.

Yes. Just from a quick eye test, they tend to split white and teal at home, and wear purple on the road.

Looking at their last 10 games it's almost a perfectly even split:

Teal vs. BOS

Teal vs. NYK

White vs. CHI

Purple @ ATL

Teal vs. GSW

White vs. POR

White vs. LAC

Purple @ MIA

White vs. ORL

Purple @ IND

3 Teal, 4 White, 3 Purple.

Now everyone is wearing those t-shirts, a bit surprised they are allowed to wear shirts with messages on- - What for instance the US invaded/attacked a country and you were against it, would you be allowed to wear a shirt with a political message saying perhaps "stop bombing, i can´t breathe" or other clever stuff. where do the league draw the line......there can´t be a line, so you are allowed to wear whatever you want, or is it only what the NBA bosses think is the right opinion ?

Of course they could. It's called freedom of speech. You should look it up sometime. It's in this thing called the Bill of Rights.

And after reading through some of your other posts on this thread, you realize that you sound like a huge hypocrite right? While advocating your own right to free speech your debasing professional athletes that same right.

David Silver will tolerate this "free spech" right up until the moment a "DEFEAT ISIS NOW" or "FREE TIBET" t-shirt pops up, at which point he'll put the hammer down on it.

JasonfromMiami only understands things that affects his portfolio on Wall Street, interest accruing on his lake house in the Hamptons, or his handicap at "Above All" Golf Resort. :-/

Silver is ok with it so far..so let them play AND speak their mind please. "I Can't breathe" is a lot more subtle than the "Black Lives matter".

S/O to Kevin Durant for this.

The 90210 guy. He's actually the voice inside Adam Silver's head. D'oh!

Finally saw a new Swingman replica in person today. I like the cut better than last year's model, but other than that, man, what a serious drop in quality.

The material is definitely cheaper, and the letters, numbers, and NBA and adidas logos are all heat-pressed instead of stitched/embroidered. Didn't stop them from making the price $10 higher this year. No thanks.
