Also not all throwback jerseys that are scheduled are released. There are countless years of when some throwbacks were presented when they weren't advertised in the catalog as well as 2years ago when they were doing 90s throwbacks for 10 teams but only 6 or so was introduced. (Will update when I find the links)

Edit: found it!

Jazz, Raptors, Cavaliers, Rockets and 76ers were presented in the catalog but was NEVER "released" when the time came! No reason was given either.

The 00 and neckline make a smiley face, but it's only noticeable on the Cavs because of the stripe.

The NBA Will have @NBA on the official game balls this year. Because people can't possibly guess what the NBA's twitter handle is.

And will it be on replicas? If it's only on the game balls, then no one will see it but the players. That would be terrible marketing.

Honest question: What do entities like the NBA have to gain from marketing their Twitter handles or trying to promote hashtags?

Part of it is just for the their image. They probably want to appear to be "with the times" or modern or relevant or something, and not "old fashioned". Nobody is going to go to NBA's twitter because it's on the ball, but if everyone else is putting a twitter handle on everything, then maybe they're afraid that they;ll stand out (in a bad way) if they don't.

It's kind of like how you notice the one guy who doesn't have a flag on his lapel, even though there's nothing wrong with being flagless.

"The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."

I'm not sure if this has been posted but you can see the championship patch in better detail with "6x"for the Bulls.

Not a bad way to honor past champions but looks cluttered up with the NBA logo right below it.

So are they going to prop up the Lakers and count the Minnesota titles and NBL title as 17 to make them look equal to the Celtics?

I guess if that's the precedent, that means the Browns have 8 titles instead of 4, so that's cool.

...Oh here we go...

I know Byron Scott counted 17 during his press conference the other day but I believe the Lakers should be on 16 and not count the 1947 NBL title.
