Sport
Just sayin'...Of course Arizona's font is better.Nailed it.Hey, am I wrong, or did they just cut and paste the same blocky pants stripe they gave the jags? It's pretty close. Somebody at Nike likes this look and I can't explain why.
ScubaSteve
I quite like the basic design.Colours good. Jersey layout good. Pants goodHaving different logos on each sleeve is stupidNumbers wtf The numbers have totally ruined this IMO. They don't fit the design. They don't fit with any sort of buccaneers imagery that I can think of. They don't look aesthetically good on their own. They are a total miss. Fix the numbers and this is a terrific modern redesign IMO.I can concur with this analysis. This jersey has me torn because yes, I actually think parts of it looks pretty nice and will look good on the field. The design (other than the numbers) isn't bad.The issue I have is that what they had before just looked SO good. If it was an upgrade to an ugly or mediocre uniform I think the response would be much warmer
bleuet
I concurr with a previous post. The uniform are not hideous, they are not bad but the number font is just not suitable. That said, I'd wait for the official pics..

Sport
Nike's history since returning to the NFLJaguars, Seahawks, Vikings, Dolphins, Buccaneers (am I missing anybody?)Of those five I think only the Vikings are an improvement on the previous uniforms and logos (and it was pretty effing hard to be worse than Minny's old unis) and they still have a handful of flaws that I would fix.The future of football uniforms is going to a dark place where bad taste reigns and good decision making is non-existent. Lights Out
Don't like the number font but the rest of it is fine. POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/
theSLVRBCK
I disagree with those saying this isn't bad because it's just the number font that makes it look bad. That's like saying the Jags helmets don't look bad because the logo and facemask are decent and it's only the gradient that makes it look bad. The numbers make up a SIGNIFICANT part of the jersey. You can't look at any major part of the top half of the uniform without seeing them. They ruin the yoke, the front and the back. Add in the mismatched sleeve logos/wordmarks, copy/paste leg stripe and the pewter socks .... and it's a bad design.

Jungle Jim
My first reaction was that these had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Now that I've had time to get over the initial shock, I think that they would be okay with a better number font and a change to red or orange tops on the socks. They still suck...a lot...but could be salvaged with those two changes.
C's
And they had the best look in the league too. The new logo and helmet are decent enough but this is just awful.
Sport
Maybe they're "not that bad" (they are that bad), but "not that bad" is a disaster when you're replacing some of the best uniforms the NFL has ever seen. This isn't just fixing what isn't broken. This is taking something that works really really well and "fixing" it with something that is broken.

TheRevTy
Some on Reddit are claiming these are the alternate uniforms and not the regular away unis. So maybe there is hope? *gulp* The write up on the Bucs website says that there are 2 jerseys, 2 sets of pants, and three sets of socks...so I'm willing to bet that Reddit is wrong on this one.Am I missing this? Where does it say that?Edit: My bad, found it. However, I thought that was referring to the "Elite 51" style Nike is going on about - as in there are two jersey cuts available, two pants cuts, etc. but that doesn't make sense as to why they would specify "one helmet." So, natural conclusion re: three sock options - pewter, red, orange(!)?
Crash
The Bright Side: No (obvious) gradients. (Yes, I know there's a gradient of sorts on the helmet, but so far we've been unable to see it and I'm attempting to be positive here.) Some on Reddit are claiming these are the alternate uniforms and not the regular away unis. So maybe there is hope? *gulp* The write up on the Bucs website says that there are 2 jerseys, 2 sets of pants, and three sets of socks...so I'm willing to bet that Reddit is wrong on this one. Am I missing this? Where does it say that? The team's white jerseys sport pewter sleeves and shoulders with red numbers, while the red jerseys also feature pewter sleeves and shoulders but with white numbers on the body and red numbers on the shoulders ... The on-field uniform collection features two jerseys, two pants, 3 sock options, and one helmet.

Sport
My feelings towards the Buccaneers organization was a sort of sad pity in the creamsicle days, an admiration in the Dungy/Gruden years, an indifference as of late but man at least they still look great. Now though? Now I want these uniforms to go back to 76-77. Lose every game. I want nothing good to come to these uniforms and maybe in five years when the ugliness has also gained a losing stench they'll switch to something wearable. But I think it's starting to get to design buffs to the point where everthything new is automatically the worst thing ever. I don't think these are fantastic, but they are fairly tame. Certainly not on the level of Jacksonville or Seattle, and the Vikings numbers bother me more than these do.
