dbadefense1990
The Astros game Monday drew a 0.0 Nielsen rating. What problems?1. It's a game in April, so the kiddies aren't out of school yet.2. Houston fans right now are either behind the Rockets (NBA Playoffs) or Texans (NFL Draft).3. It was played on a Monday afternoon.4. The Astros have had strings of 100-loss seasons with virtually the same team, so what's different this time?5. A s#itty cable deal.6. The Anaheim Angels aren't a sexy road draw to begin with. rams80
To reiterate, the Astros have a very bad TV deal. Like "the goddamn RSN isn't available in more than half of Houston and filed for Chapter 11" bad. -kj
I like the idea of that rule, but that's a questionable application. The catcher didn't move into the baseline until he was fielding the throw ball; certainly he has to be allowed to do that. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! McCall
So evidently whoever in NYC is reviewing calls has no idea what "during the transfer" means as there have already been 4 clear catches (one was a catch at 2nd during a double play, the other three fly balls in the outfield) overturned because they dropped it while in the process of taking it out of the glove. Replay would work a whole helluva lot better when the ones deciding it actually know the rules. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

pcgd
Billy Hamilton is fast. If he figures out major league pitching he will reach Ichiro levels of infield hits.Scoring on what nearly an infield pop fly was so ridiculous and impressive. Jealous and nervous about seeing him in the division for the next decade, especially when Molina is exiting his prime. Every single is gonna be basically a double. Sport
Too bad he can't hit, though. But the kid's got speed.5 hits in the last three games. 3 of those doubles and one triple. He's figuring it out. I would like to see his OBP go up, but he's still so raw.Doesn't help that he has the body of a high school sophomore. Will never be a home run threat.
