McCall
In 2013, Red Sox games averaged 3 hours and 17 minutes with 296 total pitches. Let's hope Manfred implements a pitch clock sooner rather than later. CS85
Okay, let me preface this by saying that I'm going to make a valiant effort to really fall in love with baseball this summer. I haven't earnestly watched baseball in almost a decade, but I feel like it's time to dust off my glove. That being said, to further discipline/educate myself on the game I've decided to join a random fantasy league with strangers and did an autopick draft. What I need is for you fine folks to do a quick sweep of my roster and to tell me who's awesome, who's dog crap, and who I could put on the trading block. I recognize a few names and am not totally ignorant of the current of the league, but for the most part I'm kind of uncertain as to just what I've got here. I promise not to do this anymore in this thread since it can get really old, but for the outset I could really use a hand. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. FiddySicks
NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR FANTA..... Nevermind Well, your lineup is actually fairly solid. Obviously, you'll need a third baseman, but other than that it's not too bad. That pitching staff though. Woof. Especially with this coming out todayhttp://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2014/03/16/patrick-corbin-elbow-ucl-tommy-john-arizona-diamondbacks/6491239/That's downright AWFUL news for the D Backs. I'd start looking to see if Archie Bradley is still available on the free agent list. You'd be taking a bit of a flier on him because he is a rookie and wasn't supposed to make his major league debut till later this season, but that's probably gonna have to be bumped up a bit now that Corbin is probably done for the season. I'd say that if he does start the season in Arizona, that'd be a great under the radar pickup. I decided to grab Royals starter Yordano Ventura and drop the unfortunate D-Back guy. I don't know if he's gonna work out or not, but yeah. I also took a flyer on this guy Edward Mujica from Boston and dumped Papelbon. Apparently he's playing like the lowest of turds. Thanks for the advice!Update: Dumped Dunn for Houston's Matt Dominguez. This is going to be an...educational year. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. CS85
You could put Encarnacion in your 3B slot and move one of your utility guys to first.I have been but I still needed a 3B on the bench. It's kind of senseless I guess to do a ton of moves until the season gets started but either way I really felt dirty about having Adam Dunn on the roster so I don't feel too bad. FiddySicks
Well, Aroldis Chapman got hurt again today. He got hit in the face with a line drive, and it was so bad they cancelled the game. He never lost consciousness, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a brain injury. Hopefully the scan comes back and he'll be okay and I mean that for non baseball reasons. Now, I'm a big proponent of pitchers wearing helmets. It's kind of weird that they don't and once they're adopted we'll look back on this time like we did with batters going helmetless and goalies not wearing masks. But I'm not sure what baseball could've done about a situation like this. He got hit in the face. Unless he was wearing full cage catcher's mask I don't know how to prevent thisOn the flip side the internet allows terrible people the opportunity to voice that they're terrible people, such as this moron. One, Chapman wasn't trying to throw at Nick Swisher. He's famously got control problems (case in point: he walked 4 batters before getting drilled) and that wasn't a situation in which you'd want to put a man on base. It was stupid that the Indians announcers made a big deal out of it then and it's sick that this guy (who's probably done interning with fox sports Ohio now) believes it's "Karma" now. Countless other dopes (mostly Indians and Pirates fans) came to the same dumb person conclusion.Aroldis Chapman is on my team, but he's also this strange Cuban mystery man that has a lot of sketchy details surrounding his personal life. He's not one of my favorite players that's played for the Reds, I'll put it that way. So I don't think I'm be biased here. There's a lot of players in baseball who I can't stand and I would hate to see any of them get drilled in the face by a 100 mph line drive. Still MIGHTY
I doubt it matters. Scioscia has bounced around rookie ball, A, High-A since being drafted in 2011. Gretzky from rookie, Low-A, and A since being drafted in 2012.Honestly wonder why they even bother swapping prospects so low in the system. | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |

NJTank
The only reason that trade made news is who their fathers are.
