Lovely, I stayed up to watch a few innings of the Dodgers-Diamondbacks game and the tarp is on the field.

At least you can actually watch a Dodgers game to begin with.

F#ck you forever, Time Warner. Seriously.

Don't just blame Time Warner. The Dodgers knew what they were getting into when they made that deal. Magic and co. got their money, and if you ask them, they'll say that if you want them to have the highest payroll in baseball and compete to win, the fans will have to pay up, too.

Dodgers are stacked, though. They're winning the division easily, and the World Series for sure. Probably over the Rangers in 6, so Texas can complete the trifecta of losing to the three historically best NL teams in the WS.

Is it me or does the stadium look ass backwards

What do you expect? It's a cricket stadium. Huge foul territory and the OF stands are about 3 miles behind the OF fence.

True but a video board and decritve spires behind home plate. That is usualy in the outfield.

I think the reason has to do with the sun's position, and since it's the southern hemisphere is to the north. Also notice how the sun is creeping along the right field area. The position of the scoreboard is just the way the stadium is built.

I saw, I came, I left.

Well, that didn't take long, 2 games into the season, we have our first 4 hour game! Congratulations MLB!

ESPN is complaining because it wanted to be the 1st to telecast a 4-hour MLB game this season, in order to milk audiences in another of their installments of "Yankees vs. Red Sox is the best rivalry in America and if you hate it you're a Communist who hates baseball."

IIRC, The Six is a Giants fan, and he's mocking all the overzealous Dodger fans.

Who else is excited for the Montreal games this weekend?

I am. Forgot to mention, but they'll be honouring Gary Carter and the 1994 Expos. Word is they may bring out the old banners (including the '94 "Best Team in Baseball" one).

Mabey for the game in wich they're honoring Gary Carter the Mets could bring out their 1986 throwbacks.

I thought so too, and I was basically just reiterating that. The following sentence is what kinda threw me.

Going to the Phillies Vs Blue Jays spring training game on Thursday. Not sure how I feel about Spring Training. I've read some interesting articles about just getting rid of the whole thing entirely or cutting the thing in half.

What's your guys' take on it?
