M's topping the A's tonight, but recent series losses to the Phillies, Rangers and Nationals probably doomed their fate.

Welcome back, PhantomDreamer. The M's recent losses have to be due to their lack of pullover jerseys and using a more modern looking logo than the trident, right?

So, the attendance for last night's Indians-Tigers game at Progessive Field was a whopping 9,990. Weather looked clear, 7:05 start, September game against a historical rival that you also happen to fighting for a playoff spot. What's going on?

Some folks do have school and work to go to the next morning.

Believe it or not, the demographics of this board don't mirror those of cities with sports teams. It's pretty easy for a single guy in his 20's with few responsibilities to catch a game on a weeknight. Not so much for those that have kids and a wife that all have to be somewhere at 7-9am.....

Doesn't affect other cities so much. The Twins, not even close to contending for the playoffs, drew 24,000 last night. The atrocious Astros 16,000. Colorado 25,000. Hell, the Marlins 17,000. I'm sure people in those cities have jobs and families.

And What do the Browns have to do with it? They didn't play last night. Plus, Miami, Denver and Houston are all 'football' first cities too.

Just seems like people in Cleveland don't care about baseball.

Well, that might explain things. Also, just so we're clear...if by "modern" you mean generic and stale, and the personification of 1990s blandness, okay.

In no universe is this true.

Of course it is, unless this is the "satire" the guy was talking about?

The only thing that's satire is you.
