dcameronh
Not sure if I like the new uniforms that have been leaked but I guess they could be worst. Guess we will see for sure tonight.By the way, I found this on Twitter a few minutes ago. Not sure if this has been posted. I like the updated "Brownie" logo even if it is just a concept. They should use this as another alternate!http://www.irwanawalludin.com/411337/6372059/contributions/browns-re-brand-2015

Plus, the gray facemask is also a giveaway.
JTrainGBR83
Perfect. Nice work.I wouldn't have thought this, but they really don't need orange pants with this set. IMO the best combos are:O-B-WO-W-BO-O-BAs a general rule I think that the helmet or number should always match the pants (lone exception being mono-white).So Brown on white, Orange on Brown and White on Brown all look awful here (as do mono-brown and mono-orange of course), which means we'll see those 5 combos the most. Only acceptable combos should be:O-O-WO-B-OO-W-OO-W-WQuite different tastes Hard to tell from where I'm sitting...Is this brown, or is Cleveland really going to serve the haters a BLACK uniform? Looks brown to me. Compare with the black NFL logo hang tag.The Browns darkened their brown in 2010.Yep, it's definitely brown. It's just a terrible quality picture from a phone. The orange looking so washed out and desaturated means the brown is also washed out and desaturated. This is obviously blue and black.

JTrainGBR83
Why not keep them in sealed boxes and mail them out the morning of the reveal? That way no stores have them until the next day at the earliest. Sell them online and at the team shop right after the reveal.

That way no stores have them until the next day at the earliest. Sell them online and at the team shop right after the reveal.I've worked in logistics for a few major sports merchandise chains and I can tell you first hand that it's not quite that simple. Merchandisers want to make sure their new product is available to the sellers as soon as possible, and each individual seller wants to make sure they have new merchandise to sell as quickly as possible. Waiting to ship stuff out like that on a mass scale is a headache and a half as everything would need to be sent out the day before, and you're at the mercy of the shipping companies. They ship this kind of stuff early with the hopes that retailers will follow the rules by necessity. JTrainGBR83
I understand, but if the Browns wanted to avoid a leak, frustrating the retailers a bit might be necessary.
JTrainGBR83
So the brown jersey with orange pants will be the primary?

habsfan1
Solid design. Not the most conventional thing ever, but I'd be lying if I spoke overly negative about it.Not 100% sold of the orange numbers because of tradition, but it ain't bad overall. FiddySicks
Because the potential loss in sales would overshadow the importance of being secretive for a special reveal. I'll admit that this is the worst I've ever seen when it comes to late leaks, but revealing something too soon is less of a risk than is messing with your retailers profit margins. There are still a good handful of sports stores that absolutely depend on the money that these kind of things bring in. debo0775
I've been lurking on this thread for a while. I really like what we've seen from the design so far. I think my biggest criticisms are the ginormous CLEVELAND prints on the front, the orange numbers on brown, and the orange "detail" stitching on the brown jersey.I think the detail stitching is really a pretty nice touch, but orange is not the best choice there IMO, and the way the stripes meet the jersey cut (or don't) make the stitching look amateurish. If the stripes extended all the way to the jersey cut on the front (like Seattle), then the stitching would probably be less jarring.Overall, though, I like the update to the uniforms. I think it's a bit of a downgrade from what they had jersey-wise, but I'm in the "striping should be consistent" camp, and this fixes that issue for me. andycumbee19
I last checked this thread around 11:00 this morning. Came back and HOLY CRAP THERE'S 9 NEW PAGES & LEAKS ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!11!Seriously though, I didn't wanna see the Browns change, but I'm digging these jerseys. The orange looks best for sure. Hopefully the pants & helmet don't shoot everything to hell. Good Job, Browns.

It's visually jarring (to me, anyway) to see the abrupt cut in the stripe pattern shown here:Add in that the stitching is quite the fluster cluck around the sleeve, and I'm just inclined to hate it. The stitching that we saw on the retail jersey in white (the subtle brown stitching) IMO is a nice look. Here, it just looks dated and/or makes the stitching seem to have faded in the wash/gotten bleached out. It's just a strange highlight to the jersey (and one that seems to be excluded from the sweatbox on the stomach which increases inconsistency in application). It just seems like an idea that is good in concept but poorly executed. Leaks are inevitable in this day and age with cell phones, social media, etc. Especially when there is demand to see this kind of stuff. One could argue the leaks have generated even more interest from casual fans in this unveiling, so they probably don't care too much. Either way, it's more important for the product to be available for customers when it's revealed. Otherwise, there's a lot of missed opportunity for sales. Fans will be calling to see which stores have these in. If yours doesn't, they will take their business elsewhere. It'd be asking a whole lot from retailers to not receive the items until after the reveal with expectations of having them available for purchase yesterday. As Bucfan56 alluded to, it'd be a logistical nightmare.
