Elwood Posted March 9, 2014 Share Posted March 9, 2014 I think you've done a tremendous job with the changes. The rainbow blends well, the floor is pleasing to look at and my eyes are drawn to center court. I love both floors and can't decide which one I like better. If the floor were to be inspired by the old MECCA, like the actual floor was, I'd choose the green circle one. It's also a nice reminder of the '71 championship team. Recently Oscar Robertson strongly criticized the ownership for years of neglecting its former players and some say this is why Glenn Robinson, Junior Bridgeman and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were invited and honored at games. The circle can be a symbol for former players as well. I also like the haunting effect it plays; a diamond shaped eye gazing at me. Overall a fine update, the best I've seen and I think it could stand the test of time. To me, you may have perfection by painting the hardwood area with 2 shades of orange (Indiana used 3) like that of the MECCA floor or Bango. So I compared your template with the Bucks new floor and noticed the keys were different shapes. Maybe you're using NCAA dimensions for the red keys and influencing the shape of the Ms? I'm literally placing a pair of chopsticks over the lines. I would also love to have these posted in the Originals thread, if it's okay with you. I think when it's white it just says "this is different, see it's not quite the Bucks" instead of being a true update of the past set, which was my favorite. Just out of place to me.
