Full time jobs will do that. Plus I'm taking a break to work on raysox' European concept series which everybody should check out.

Two sets of Pokemon games within a year will also do that...

Just for ideas if you are still doing this-

Portside Vermilion

Celadon City (Rainbow Themed)

Viridian City Evergreens

Sporting Santalune (If you decide to do any teams from Kalos)

Fear the future, envy the past

Seemed sort of relevant to this thread, so I thought I would share.

Looks a lot nicer than the misguided attempt at a brush stroke on the back, but Japan was already the one country to have too many assets on the front of its jersey, so now the front looks even more crowded. I think it'd have been sort of funny to replace the national team crest with the Pikachu (which one's brought Japan more fame?)

Blackthorn Dragons

"A Quiet Mountain Retreat"

Blackthorn Dragons has been a part of the Indigo League since 1935. Since then it has been a consistently good club. They were relegated only once, in 1950, and it only lasted for that season. They've spent the rest of their time living in the top 10 on the League 1 table. Despite their historic success, they've rarely won the Indigo League Championship, having only won 4 titles in their otherwise great history.

The kits are manufactured by Elite and the primary sponsor is Dragon's Den. The home kit was heavily inspired by Manchester United's secondaries from a short while back.

Man I didn't even know this was a thing until it was updated today. I can't express how much I love this series, both in the idea of turning Pokemon cities into soccer clubs and the actual designs themselves. I've been trying to figure out how to do a Pokemon-themed sports league but ran into a ton of roadblocks on the way. Glad to see you're doing this, and I hope that you keep up the good work with whatever team you do (though I am intrigued on what you would do with Unova's Humilau should you choose to delve into that territory in the future).

This is an absolutely amazing series that I'm ashamed I haven't seen sooner. Great idea and great execution. Well done, Jimmy.

Ditto!

Concepts fly off these pages, and I unfortunately don't get a chance to see them all.

These are super clean logos, very nicely presented.

I like the effect you created on the logos, with a slight high-lite and blur of the far edges.

Well done, Jimmy.

Royal Viridian FC

"The City of Evergreen"

Royal Viridian is among the oldest and winningest franchises in Indigo League history despite their current status in IRSL. Their 11 Indigo League championships are behind only AC Saffron and Sootopolis. The club formed in 1897, and won its first championship in 1899. From there they remained a top-level team until 1943 when they won their last. in 1944 the team was bought out by a crime syndicate that had been running under the guise of a Pokémon Gym and casino. They began funneling money from the team, which led to their major collapse into the bottom ranks of the Indigo League pyramid. After the syndicate disbanded in 1996, the team was taken over by the new gym leader in Viridian City, Blue Oak.

The team’s primary sponsor is Evergreen Coffee. The kits are manufactured by Tohjo.

Interested on where the Evergreen Coffee and logo came from. Maybe I'm just going blank on that aspect.

I'm assuming that it's a case of inventing something for the sake of having a sponsor. Am I right on assuming this, Jimmy?

And I think it's a clever touch to have the evergreen theme considering you have the Viridian Forest. And I love the color choices as well as I'm a big fan of multiple greens. Great concept as always.

It's gotta be the old man that teaches you how to catch Pokemon. Yep, sure did draw a blank earlier...(Been playing ROM hacks lately, so haven't been playing the official Gen 1 games, so I forgot about that guy)
