Teams you like, but uniforms you hate

Ugh, Miami. I love my Dolphins, after my dad bought me NFL Quarterback Club 98 on the Nintendo 64 and told me that Dan Marino was the best Quarterback in the league, I chose the Dolphins at 11 years old and stuck with them.

Unfortunately aqua and orange doesn't lend itself to great uniforms or merchandise. I've been jealous of lots of other teams for a long time.

I have been really happy with the uniform and logo change over the last few years though, and I now own a Tannehill jersey and a sideline 59fifty. It might not look as good as other teams but it looks a lot better than it did.

The Sharks, with their overdependence on the black alt, the random splotches of orange in the set, and the removal of the tail stripes and yokes (while sill keeping front numbers). If they could just update the inaugural set, they'd have one of the best looks in the league.

Agreed.

I also like the Jaguars and Indians and both current sets just don't do it for me.

Go A's!

Brewers. Everything except their pinstriped throwbacks, which aren't great but are at least acceptable.

Every word of this. I get it... they want to have their cake and eat it too with the current arrangement, but it gets to be a little ridiculous when you look around Miller Park and see a bunch of royal blue and athletic gold everywhere except for on the players. At what point are they going to realize that they're hurting the Brewers' brand by refusing to adopt the classic colors full time?

The Brewers are a hard case IMO. I absolutely love their logos and word marks, and I don't hate their colors either. They're a bit bland, but navy and gold (or wheat, whatever) is a great combo. BUT, their throwback look is good too.

If love to see them come to a compromise and keep their current set but swap the navy for royal blue (or green, even). Nobody really owns royal and true gold, and it'd be a good combination of each generation of their identities.

Slap the BiG logo on the sleeves too. It's a bit inconsistent with their current look, but strong enough of a logo to where I could let that slide.

The Brewers have a "problem" that most wish they had. Too many solid looks and color schemes.

Sorry Goth, but I hate the look they had in between those two sets. Those are best left in the past IMO.

Lightning, Lightning, and Lightning.

Love the Bolts, but I hate the uniforms/logo so :censored:ing much. It pisses me off how awful it is because I refuse to buy anything with that :censored: on it.

I've voiced my uniform frustrations with the Anaheim Ducks far too often. At this point, anything has to be better than the soulless regular duds they use now. Even if they brought back the Wild Wing for a couple of games, as horrible as it is at least it would be visually interesting to look at.

I'd be satisfied with the third being promoted but there's no way to make a matching white jersey work if it's a simple recolour. I'd rather they bring out a new set, or go back to eggplant and jade.

The entire vest era of 1993-2006 was painful for me to witness as a Reds fan, beginning with the white "ice cream man" caps and ending with the even worse second half of that era, after they changed the primary color to black. I especially "loved" (sarcasm) the black-undershirt-with-red-socks look and the all-black-at-home looks from that time.

Then of course today, Cincinnati sports fans get to enjoy looking at these monstrosities every week in the fall...

The Braves new America jerseys. Pretty much anything USF wears (I like the logo, but would prefer a bit more simplicity in the baseball uniforms in particular.) FSU's Sunday gold baseball uniforms are a huge step down from the pinstriped golds they wore at the beginning of the Nike-exclusive contract. Duke's current basketball uniforms (and their current baseball uniforms could stand a bit more diversity.)

For me, I really have no complaints as my favorite teams use classic sets. Though the Detroit Pistons did go through a teal phase before I was born, and while that is my favorite color I still realize that it was an insult to the tradition and history of the team.

Gotta go with the Saskatchewan Roughriders:

No good. No good at all.

However...

Those are great; though I'd love to see two white stripes on the socks. Also, I noticed they're wearing the current pants in the bottom picture... don't do that, Riders. Bad Riders.

I felt the same way about the Vikings before their redesign last year. Wow, did I hate those uniforms. Whenever I see a picture I cringe, which sucks because they had some good years playing in those over-piped reeboky crapsets. At least they didn't have a tramp stamp like the uniforms I posted above.

How about BiG in their current colors?

unless it has to be teams i like, but CURRENT uniforms i hate... at which point.... i love the stars uniforms. i love the red sox uniforms. i love the crimson tide's uniforms. and i'm pretty okay with most of the titans uniforms. the only thing i guess i'd say i hate is the columbia-over-navy titans look. if they'd just wear white pants or columbia pants with every jersey every time, they'd be a damn fine looking team.

I love the Phillies, but I'm so off-and-on about their uniforms. From a distance, they look beautiful, but up close they look too 90s and too cartoonish. The script (And the numbers) are too "bubbly" and look just computer-generated, and the piping on the road jersey just feels a little out of place.

Except the thing is, I love everything else about their uniforms. The sleeve numbers, the shade of red and blue, the blue squatchee on the red hat, the pinstripes. It's just the font that makes me have a thing against it (Not that I hate it, per se)
