Yes it does, WSU. Beveling gives pictures the appearance of having three dimensions, thus giving the picture 'height', so it does have something to do with altitude.

Doesn't look like a dog collar to me, more like random (uneven) circles along the sidelines. The TCU uniforms from the LT era featured a pattern with triangles that always reminded me of a dog collar for some odd reason, maybe look at that for some inspiration? Also take a look at the Fresno State Bulldogs logo and you'll see that the 'spikes' are usually triangular (even on the GWU logo you can see that they are triangular, not circular).

Beveling would make it an illegally marked court. Lines need to be solid without any beveling or drop shadow. Can't add anything that makes it hard to read the edges of the lines.

Grizzlys is great. Beveling may give height, but nowhere close to a mile. It may remind you of mile high, but nobody else.
