There was that politician who tried to steal the Columbus Blue Jackets' logo...

So he's from Oregon, yet he uses a logo from Ohio?

Makes sense.

Oregon the State, you know, the big chunk of land under Washington, next to Idaho, above Nevada and California.

They also have a team literally named "Hartford Whalers." While no logo theft is involved in that case, I doubt the NHL is cool with anyone just using the specific City/Team combo of one of their squads, even a defunct one.

That really only applies to other hockey teams. The whole reason there was a Connecticut Whale was because the NHL nixed the Hartford Whalers as a name, however the NHL never complained to MLB when their Denver expansion franchise adopted the Colorado Rockies moniker.

You're also you're not going to see too many leagues complaining about high schools using their logos. For one it's free advertising, another is that the schools don't make a ton of money from it, and thirdly it's bad optics to be suing high schools over copyright infringement.

Not sure if the Golden Arches are relevant to Townsville, but if not Ronald McDonald may want to speak with the owner of the Crocodiles.

That is a new kind of sad.
I'm fairly sure that that's a sponsorship thing, they have McDonald's as uniform sponsors and they have a few versions of the logo without the arches on their website

"That's because it's going to Columbus, Georgia, not Columbus, Ohio..."

"...What else you got, 'Wonder Boy?'"
