GFB
Before presenting the "3D" models, I must thank Darth Brooks for his very helpful photoshop tutorial, up in the pinned area of Concepts.I'm using an old Mac OS 9 version, so many tutorials leave me a little confused.Darth puts the process of creating a template into easy-to-understand steps. mattb6
Why wasn't this out there when I was a kid? I'm liking your carrot logo, but I feel like the W on top of the carrot makes it seem less like a carrot. Not exactly sure how to fix this, maybe make the W look more like a leaf? Jake3roo
Minimal Logos and UniformsWaska-Lea Wabbits Minimal LogoThe carrot is sacred to the Rabbit community. For the inhabitants of Waska-Lea, the orange 'n green veggie, was their "gold".The fertile area allowed the Waska family to be the leaders in carrot production and later, that carrot money funded other ventures. So, it's no wonder that the Wabbits adopted the orange and green as their colours, and utilized the carrots triangular shape in the logo. The letter "W" could form the green leafy part at the top... sparkychewbarky
I hear your comments about the "carrot" logo.Keep in mind, that these first logos are super-simple, for use on the unis appearing in the book. They've gotta be real easy to hand-draw, often on a very small scale. The enhanced and vintage logos (coming later) will be more detailed.However...You guys are right... the carrot could look a little more 'carrot-ish', while K.I.S.S.I think that this works a little better...As always, thanks for the input. *The Battle of Seattle
sparkychewbarky
The Rushin'River Bears Minimal LogoThe Bears forged their Wild League identity from their Soviet/Russian heritage. They combined the sickle and star from the old U.S.S.R., with the colours of the newer Russian federation. They also borrowed from the iconic sweaters of the "good ol' days" of the CCCP "red machine".... *The Battle of Seattle
DeadFish
Wow, it's been a long while since I've visited this forum, and what an amazing thread to suck me back in.Sparky, as a wannabe children's author myself, can I suggest Print-on-demand (such as Amazon's Createspace) as a way of getting your work out there if publishers don't get on board. I've self-published a few titles this way - it's the no minimums that make it attractive, I don't sell many, but I'm not paying for unused copies. LAWeaver
Much better with the Wabbits logo. It's a small change that made a huge difference. The Bears logo is clever. sparkychewbarky
The Bears' UniformsPhysically, the Bears are the largest members of the Wild league family...Their sweaters are a relatively huge canvas, allowing for wide waist striping. The Alts are almost an identical copy of the famous CCCP "red machine" unis... *The Battle of Seattle

(a great learning experience though)Also, there was no advantage of the marketing and networking resources that a large publisher could offer.I'm hoping to sway a pub with the "added-on" cross-promotional possibilities that would be possible with this concept....But I'm curious- What did you self-publish? How'd it go? *The Battle of Seattle
mamiller99
Y'know, you could start a Kickstarter. Also, love da Bears. It would have been cool to the the wingy things on the Russian jerseys. That's what- She
