The Twins (surprise, surprise), A's, Mariners and Orioles look nice because the bill color differs from the crown. All of the rest of them look like solid color caps with some sort of weird napkin tucked in behind the logo. The Indians get partial credit for having a contrasting bill, but their "please don't call us racist" block C is so generic that it makes the cap as forgettable as the rest of them. So will the Orioles' hat just look like their usual home hat? Will the Nats' hat look like their BP hat? If they keep this up, what happens when the Reds host next year? Book it.Not a bad guess by any means, but I wonder if it's even possible to dye/subliminate pinstripes onto the new Diamond Era material. The Reds are going to be a tricky one to pull off IMO. I don't like how the crown stays boxy and won't shrink no matter what. On the flip side, it's lighter than the regular 5950 and it fits better (I HATE 5950 sizing inconsistencies). I like them, but you've gotta pick the right cap. I bought the Rays BP cap last year, and while it's a little loose, I've broken it in and it fits well. Likewise, I just bought the Rays ASG cap yesterday, and it fits perfectly right off the rack, albeit a size smaller than my BP cap (7 1/4 versus 7 3/8). Alternately, I bought an MiLB Kannapolis Intimidators BP cap last month, and it's quite boxy and doesn't really fit well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only ones I think actually look good on their own are the Blue Jays, A's, and Mariners (if only because it means they finally wore a teal bill with their white home shirt).
