Twins Uniforms

Yknow what else the Twins suffer from? The Indians. Same division, same colors, identical alternates.

Both teams have clunky red scripts on their home jerseys, and navy scripts on the road. Their alternates are so so similar, and they both also have cream alts (Although those don't look that similar.)

The same shades of navy and red, and every now and then you'll see them pair off both wearing navy and you won't be able to tell who's who.

So basically, a big problem with the Twins uniforms is...the Cleveland Indians.

Their shades of Red are actually different, but everything else you mentioned are valid points:

ClevelandIndians_FRC_Red01a_9999_SCC_SRG <--> MinnesotaTwins_FRC_Red01a_9999_SCC_SRGB.

I'm guessing 99% of people aren't going to notice the difference, so everything he mentioned including the red is a valid point.

I personally blame DC and mlb for allowing multiple incarnations of the senators to fail and relocate, then keeping the rwb color scheme. Either way the twins colors are a holdover from the senator so there's really nothing unique to the twins about the colors.

No, but they've had it as the Twins for 50 years. That's enough time make it their own.

Navy and red is owned by a third of mlb. There's nothing unique about their identity nor are they the sole owners of said color scheme in their own division. Binding the franchise to red and navy is just silly and unnecessary.

The whole "navy and red is used by everyone!" argument just falls flat to me. Most of these teams have worn those colours for so long that changing them, even in the spirit of uniqueness, just reeks of change for the sake of change.

The Red Sox in green and red? The Twins in purple and gold? The Indians in brown and red? Changes like that would do more harm to their teams' overall brand then good (in Cleveland's case the colour scheme is the least of their worries).

Yeah, the Padres should be in brown, the Rays should use a shade of green, and the Rockies need to emphasize purple. Those are the kinds of changes that should be made to inject a bit more uniqueness into the Majors.

Ok, you got me there. On the field it's generally hard to tell.

1-Welcome to the club!

2- As for the Twins creamed uni when they wore it in 2010 as a tribute to Killebrew the fans loved it and I thought they were going to wear it full time in 2012. I liked it I wished they were wear it full time but I would change their logo to their alternate I like the way how they combined their past and current logo!

This is one reason why I was hoping the Nationals went a different direction with their identity and uniforms. The color scheme for a team called the Washington Grays would've been so much more unique than being shoehorned into R/W/B because you picked a generic American themed name.

I've said this before but I think it's worth repeating. The red C on the caps is fine. The T is emphasized by white, which works because it emphasizes Twin. Plus the different colored letters provides excellent color balance. Not everything needs to be so generic. Why does it need to be red outlined in white? Boston and St. Louis do that. The interlocking TC logo is perfect as is. From a design standpoint, it's fine. If, say, the C stood for part of the team name, then yes, they should consider making it more legible. But as it is, it's just a unique feature that represents the location. So what if it isn't as bright as the T? Isn't that the point?
