buckeye
Other than the striping on the shorts ending around the legs, that's gorgeous.

14er
There is no cohesion among the striping on shorts, waistband, and armhole/neckhole.
mbannon92
There is no cohesion among the striping on shorts, waistband, and armhole/neckhole.When I saw these I had the same complaint, but this is the best thing adidas has designed in years. So I'll cut them some slack. Nike + CFL 2015 | 2015-16 NBA Concepts | Complete College Football Redesign

Nice to see teams getting their unique looks back. Nike + CFL 2015 | 2015-16 NBA Concepts | Complete College Football Redesign

29texan
kentucky using checkerboards is dumb. it would be like tennessee using hounds tooth. the schools are too connected for sharing the pattern.Did you read "Post 161" as I explained why they went with the checkerboard pattern? nuordr
Stealing Tennessee's checkerboard pattern I see They have been using that checkerboard pattern for the last 3 years as it represents the greatest horse to ever race; Secretariat. The pattern was first introduced in 2011 when the football team introduced new uniforms and here is the historical data that Nike used in those uniforms: Nike designed the uniforms to represent the strength and stamina of Kentucky symbols like legendary head coach Paul Bear Bryant, the 1950 national championship team and superhorse Secretariat to give it a classic look. As a tribute to Secretariats silks, the checkerboard pattern was introduced into the football uniform and then into the basketball uniform. Here was the football teams introduction to the pattern: Here was the basketball teams introduction to the pattern:Here is Secretariat's silks: 3 years? Try doubling that to 6. That checker board basketball jersey was introduced before Billy G's 2nd and final year. This is Cal's 6th year coming up. Wall, Cousins, & Bledsoe wore that until Christmas.Oh, I mistyped...they were introduced to the basketball program earlier and in 2011 the football team adopted the concept. MJWalker45
N.C. State won't wear those unless they design an alternate. The Kansas uniforms are looking good this year. Too bad other teams aren't taking control of their look.

Too bad other teams aren't taking control of their look.Yes. Bill Self commented last year that he did not like last year's uniforms and that they needed to return to a more traditional look. These are actually very reminiscent of what Kansas was wearing in the late 80s and early 90s with the exception of the font. With Arizona, UConn, Florida and others returning to a more traditional look this should be a pretty good looking season of college basketball. I like that the traditional powers seem to be reverting back to classic looks.

mbannon92
Notre Dame released photos of their new home uniforms today. It's hard to tell what the full shorts design looks like. Also, I'm not sure what's up with the pattern on the blue parts. I'm sure we'll find out at some point. I know they talked about wanting brand cohesion — it's also why there will be new football uniforms next year — and that was on the soccer kit. The double stripe motif seems to be carried through as well.
