The Africa Cup just escalated in the game between Equatorial Guinea and Ghana. The fans of Ghana had to get escorted out of the stadium by the police. Riots started outside the stadium. There are propably deaths.

Seems like Jürgen Klopp's job isn't that save anymore.

Btw. Hertha's coach Jos Luhukay got fired today after two losses and after we are now just one place in front of Dortmund. Hertha's legend Pal Dardai takes his place. He's also currently the national team coach of Hungary.

About damn time Preetz got off his ass and sacked Luhukay. Hope it wasn't too late though.

I don't think so. Luhukay just had a bad connection to the team at the end and made many mistakes. Like he let Sandro Wagner play instead of Salomon Kalou. :P

The new coaching team is good. Dardai has a great mentality and does a great job as the national team coach of Hungary. The fans love him and will back him all the way. He's our record player and made the most games for us (287 games).

Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi blamed Equatorial Guinea supporters for "unprovoked violent attacks" inside the stadium.

"We are lucky that we haven't lost any lives, though people have sustained various degrees of injuries arising from objects thrown at them," he told BBC World Service.

Yeah, I'm thrilled to have Dardai in charge. There's a good amount of talent in the squad so we should be fine… but it's tough to not worry with Hertha. :P

What a fantastic win for Tottenham. Harry Kane scoring a brace to secure a win over an Arsenal side that just came to defend. Now this is the same Harry Kane that Piers Morgan tweeted would not make Arsenals bench before the game.

Much better game today! Hertha won 0:2 in Mainz. Also Dortmunds first good game since ages. They won 3:0 against Freiburg.

As a side note Andre Schürrle had an excellent debut today for Wolfsburg against Hoffenheim. He made two assists in the 3:0 victory.

As a Spurs fan the thing which stood out to me other than the obvious, was Mason after the game saying that at 1-0 down, the players weren't panicking and the supporters stuck with the team. The confidence and belief continues. A 'Sanchez-less' Arsenal didn't have enough about them going forward to deserve anything from the game.

Piers Morgan is a numpty and literally nothing he ever says should be taken at face value.

Yes not having Sanchez was a loss for us, a big hole that couldn't be filled today unfortunately. As for Morgan...we Gooners don't even listen to that airhead. Full of :censored:e!

Mason and Bentaleb are a very good duo for us in midfield. With Kane upfront and possibly players like Pritchard due to come through our academy is now producing. Poch as well has promised to give the youngsters a chance and it's paying off.

Lyon keeps hold of 1st in Ligue 1 after drawing PSG. Not too bad considering they without Lacazette who's been the best player in France this year.

Also to note that 6 of the top 10 passers/assist makers in Ligue 1 are from Lyon's academy. Want to compete with PSG without oil money? Rely on your academy.

Many clubs still rely on their academies still: Southampton, Sunderland, Barcelona to name a few. But it's good to see with all the money getting thrown around to buy these high priced footballers, that managers like Hubert Fournier is still going back to the academy for his talent and coming up with trumps!

I remember the years when Lyon won about 7 championships in a row and made it to the Champions League semifinals. I hated the club back then and was a huge fan of PSG. But now, I actually hope that Lyon wins the Ligue 1 again. I miss these old days. ^^

Tough to say that Barça really "rely" on their academy at this point. Or, at least, that they're still building using it. Just three guys — Messi, Xavi Busquets — that started Sunday came straight from their academy.

It's really interesting how on this board there are at least three members who supported ( me, you, and I think crashcarson) PSG and were completely turned off by them becoming P$G. Wonder how many people worldwide had a soft spot that went away
