All this talk all week about how the Pats are done and Brady is finished was fun. Of course they're up two scores on the Bengals right now.

BTW, anyone catch that breast cancer commercial?

"After seeing all that pink, I decided to go get a mammogram that day. Thank God I did because I had massive and aggressive breast cancer."

Yeah, I'm sure most doctors offices take walk ins for routine exams late on Sunday afternoon.

Could have been at 10 on a Monday night. It's probably the same woman as last year... there can only be so many women that forget they have boobs until they see football players in pink.

I can't remember the last time the Bengals played well in a nationally televised game. Monday night opener against Baltimore in 2007, maybe?

I know it hasn't happened with Andy Dalton under center.

edit: they beat Pittsburgh last season on monday night football. I was there. Don't know how I forgot about that one.

Gotta love football. Even the tumors in commercials are massive and aggressive.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Not freaking out about this loss. I kind of felt all week that all the ingredients for a big night from the Patriots were in place.

The Patriots got blown out on Monday

The Patriots don't lose back-to-back games

The Bengals don't win primetime games

The Bengals haven't been tested that much this season

The Bengals defense was going to be a little rusty coming off the bye week

despite beating the Patriots last year Marvin Lewis always gets badly out coached by Belichic

it's one loss and I don't think there as bad as they looked so I'm not freaking out too much. We knew they weren't going 16-0.

Tonight just proved that New England is the New Orleans Saints of the AFC- they can frontrun at home, but are meh on the road.

The Bengals haven't given up 40 at home since the Carson Palmer admistration. No way do they play like this if the game was in Cincy. The Patriots are simply invincible at home vs. the AFC (Interconference, OTOH, is a different story).

Let's see how they do on the road. If they lay another road egg at Buffalo, then we'll see what the talking heads have to say.

Rex Ryan is fun.

While I think his schtick is funny and necessary (given how boring most coaches are), he did kind of deserve to get run all over after hyping up his run defense all week and insisting the Chargers couldn't run on them.

How did Oliver go undrafted? He reminds me of Sproles, although Oliver is more physical whereas Sproles is more of a speedster.

1. He came from a not popular football school (my alma mater, the University at Buffalo)

2. It's entirely possible that's the best game he will ever play.

Golden Tate, on the Bills carrying former Lions coach Jim Schwartz off the field on Sunday:

""I thought it was so disrespectful. So disrespectful. I didn't like it at all," Tate said on 105.1. "If I knew I wasn't going to get fined, I would have snatched him right down off their shoulders and threw him on the ground, personally. But obviously I couldn't do that."

Assaulting a coach after the game is over? Uh, you'd probably go to jail, dude.
