CS85
I love that:This is prime time game. A nationwide audience is getting full exposure to the lowest of the low of this once-proud franchise as it scrapes bottom with aplomb. The Bears had a bye week to prepare for this and instead gave all the players a full week off. The Bears had all the reason in the world to fight tooth and nail to save their season tonight and from the very outset played with no enthusiasm or efficiency whatsoever. The Bears will be national on THANKSGIVING, of all freaking days, and once again the world will suffer through this abortion.I want this team humiliated and disgraced as much as possible. I want them exposed and ruined and shamed. The harder they implode, the more likely they liquify the entire organization and take a handful of years to eat their contracts and rebuild through the draft. I'd gladly deal with 3 or 4 years of losing with some fight and a plan over another 3-4 years of .500-ish (or worse) with this hollow vessel of a franchise. The_Admiral
Usually the McCaskeys move at a glacial pace, but going down 42-0 to the Packers in a national game might be enough to start chopping heads. However, the next coach will just be another pulseless dissembler like the last three coaches because Michael McCaskey still has too much power and still wants his kind of coach. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

rams80
And 42-0 it is -- on an amazing catch to boot. This is awesome. I can't recall a Rams blowout loss getting this bad at halftime. DarkJourney
Isn't Virginia McCaskey like 350 years old or is she dead? Clue me in.
The_Admiral
She's alive, but doesn't really have any involvement. It's all her idiot kids and some accountant. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
CS85
"Alive" is a strong word. I'm fairly certain they just sit her mummified corpse up in a rocking chair a few times a year, then send out grainy footage to shareholders of her smiling and nodding while somebody moans cheerfully in the background. Seadragon76
OK, when was the last time the Bears got beaten to this kind of tune? This is embarrassing. I really kind of wished that NBC would of found a different game for this week.
AHcreative
I like how this week had many high scoring games. It's great for the "Salute to Service" campaign the NFL is doing.

If the Defensive Coordinator isn't fired after tonight's disaster, there is something wrong in that organization.

Like admiral said, 'glacial' is their speed. Emery's a bit of a wild card, as far as GMs go, so who knows, but historically you'd have to place your money on the Bears blowing smoke up the asses of the collective sports universe until the season ends. After the clock hits 00:00 in week 17, everything's up in the air.I'd love to be wrong, however. I'd love for anything with the Bears management to show they're in control of their franchise, rather than the listless, sputtering, flaming turdsack that seems to floating rudderless toward the abyss. The_Admiral
It doesn't matter what Emery is. You think he has the authority to fire a coach without President Accountant's approval? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

No. But he does have the cowboy boots and copypasta live chats with fans, and that's got to count for something. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. Unocal
Mike McCarthy has his great W-L record against the Bears based on nothing he's done. It's not like, say, Belichick against the Colts/Broncos. Rodgers props him up the way Aikman propped up Switzer
