  1. In my opinion, one of the best looks in baseball is an off-white home uniform. Because of this, I really liked the Cool Base Ivory fashion jerseys that were introduced a few years ago, despite not being a fan of every design. I recently stumbled upon '47 Brand's Two Tone Clean Up caps which were also off-white and featured retro team logos. I figured these caps would look good paired with uniform designs inspired by the Cool Base jerseys, which gave me the idea for this series. I took some creative liberty here and there (for instance, I was definitely not going to use the "cracked out" Tiger logo) and ended up pretty happy with the results. This will be a quick series, so I'll be positing each division at once. Let's start with the AL East! ORIOLES: RED SOX: YANKEES: RAYS: BLUE JAYS: C&C appreciated. AL Central is up next!
  2. Another Neo-Vintage Mascot Logo Concept; this time Big Al from the University of Alabama marches on through the puny competition! This was a previous look I created for Al:
  3. TCU Horned Frog

TCU has a few vintage logos, but I thought I'd take elements from them and create a neo-vintage one:
  4. Virginia Tech Hokie Bird

Took another look at my Neo-Vintage Hokie Bird from 2014 and refreshed it! 2014: 2017: I have a GIF to highlight the differences, but it doesn't seem to work...
  5. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials
  6. Vancouver Canucks New Take

Not the best however I feel as though the Canucks should go back to their roots and have a logo that actually has something to do with their team name. It features Johnny Canuck on the side patches and main logo, with the striping on the bottom and sleeves forming V's.
  7. Working on a 1983 themed March Madness bracket and I'm finding these Gonzaga logos without years. Which one do you think they used then? I've gone through online yearbooks without success and I believe the current bulldog head logo appeared in '98. Thank you.
  8. For March Madness I am making a themed bracket based on Stranger Things. The year is 1983 and all of the the logos for March Madness will be from 1983. However I am having issues finding what the Belmont Rebels look like. FYI Belmont changed their name in 1995 to the Bruins. I may share the bracket if there's interest.
  9. This concept was started a few years ago here: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/98132-vintage-style-lipscombcoloradohoward/ . And I just went back and cleaned it up. Let me know what you think of the updates. Here is the image: And a GIF for comparison:
  10. Before I started posting NHL concepts, by hand, there was the V.V.G.L. My first series that I posted back in 2012, consisting of the following teams, representing the following video game franchises... Anaheim Assassins: Goldeneye 007 New York Rollers: Crazy Taxi Series San Jose Metroids: Metroid Prime Series Calgary Mario's: Mario Series New York Wake: Wave Race Series Toronto Sonics: Sonic Series Edmonton Triforce: Zelda Series Pittsburgh Pacmen: Pacman Series Vancouver Jetsets: Jet Set/Grind Radio Series Minnesota Yoshi's: Yoshi/Mario Series Montreal Quake: Quake Series Victoria Knights: Heroes of Might & Magic Series Wanting a break from my current, NHL, series; I decided to redo the entire league and expand it to 14 teams. V.V.G.H.L. sounded a bit clunky so I changed the name to simply VGHL. A few franchises have moved or changed altogether and the league is now divided into two conferences. Here are the 14 teams I will be posting: Western Conference Eastern Conference Anaheim Assassins: Goldeneye 007 Brooklyn Gear: Metal Gear Solid Series Calgary Marios: Mario Series Florida Pacmen: Pac Man Series Chicago Street Fighters: Street Fighter Series Montreal Quake: Quake Series Edmonton Triforce: Zelda Series New York Rollers: Crazy Taxi Series Minnesota Knights: Heroes of Might & Magic Series Ottawa S.T.A.R.S: Resident Evil Remake San Jose Metroids: Metroid Prime Series Pittsburgh Yoshi's: Yoshi/Mario Series Vancouver Jetsets: Jet Set/Grind Radio Series Toronto Sonics: Sonic Series I will be alternating between Western and Eastern conference teams, starting from the North down. First up are the Vancouver Jetsets (coming very shortly).
  11. This started in the request section as a request by mattb6. I took the logo I put together for that request and tweaked a few things, this is what came of it. I'm thinking of using this as a shirt design or for my youtube channel. Tell me what you think.
  12. The Bucks haven't been good for a very long time and are irrelevant to some, but I still love this team and their old school logos and uniforms… I've always wondered what the logo on their shorts in old pictures actually looked like and recently found these. The white one's from '68-69, their inaugural year and the green shorts and shooting shirt are from '72-73.
  13. I've begun collecting logos that I'd like to update. The first one I did was an old amateur hockey team logo, and I posted it here. This time I thought I'd try to get a bit more elaborate. Here's what I started with: And here's my update: Let me know what you think! PS: here's the rest of the logos I'm currently going to try to work with: pinboard. Let me know if there's one in particular from there you'd like to see or if you have any suggestions. I'm not currently planning on doing requests like Ren, but I'll definitely consider suggestions.
  14. Vintage College Mascot Logos

Does anyone have a better version of this logo?
