  1. Ah the good 'ol days

    OCM_OaklandColiseumMatinee.jpg

    And full of steroids.

If approved by both the city and county, which it still needs to be, this extension is pretty much symbolic.

I'm talking about how nice the stadium used to be and the great view of the Oakland hills.

The Oakland Hills...which turn GAP khaki in early April. Heck, they are a fire alert now.

To All: While Lew Wolff is the voice of the A's, John Fisher is the $$$ behind the team and majority owner. The same thing goes with another Coliseum Complex team, the Golden State Warriors...Joe Lacob is the voice...Peter Guber is the $$$.

Most everyone knows especially here the Bay Area that Fisher and Guber are the money men. But thanks for sharing.
  2. I think eventually Adam Silver will convince the owners to realign the NBA back to 4 divisions. Assuming teams don't relocate, Seattle & Vancouver are added as expansion teams for the 2018-2019 season.

    EASTERN CONFERENCE

    Atlantic Division

Boston, Brooklyn, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington

    Central Division

Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, Milwaukee, Minnesota

    WESTERN CONFERENCE

    Midwest Division

Dallas, Denver, Houston, Memphis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Utah

    Pacific Division

L.A. Clippers, L.A. Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver

  3. I still think the SEC will go after Virginia Tech & N.C. State plus the Big Ten wants to further expand it's eastern footprint not just with Penn State, Maryland & Rutgers but possibly Virginia & Georgia Tech as well. It won't be for awhile though. Big Ten would love to have that Atlanta market and the SEC would love to have a foothold in North Carolina and Virginia. This has to do with TV mostly. The Big Ten and SEC networks.

Nice realignment preview Muggens. But I don't see Iowa State in there. However, what if the max cap number of members is upto 20 instead of 16, who would you add those 4 more members on each super-conference?

I did leave Iowa State out for the moment but you're right I do think super conferences might go to 18 or 20. I'm starting think that eventually the Big Ten & SEC will raid the ACC for schools again.

  6. NBA Expands to Seattle & Vancouver in 2018. League returns to Seattle and gives Vancouver another shot.

  9. Republican state senators in Illinois currently hold a super-minority. They are bored.

    How bored?

Bored enough to commission a study about whether or not another Illinois state school should join the Big Ten.

Napoleon Harris (who in the interests of full disclosure, is a Democrat) apparently thinks Chicago State, which has no football team and an accreditation status of "dubious," would be a fine candidate.

Some politicians just have too much time on their hands. Good Lord!

  11. I would like to thank all of you for participating in my little experiment. Truthfully I have been posting on this message board and others the last year posing as different people. I found a good amount of interesting responses to my posts, positive and negative. All of you helped tremendously with my research paper. I apologize for being deceiving. Once again, thank you all for your help, take care and best wishes.
