The Big 3 conferences will make sure that only they get a foot in the door. Even if it expanded or 8 or 16, they'll make sure that any outside team will have to be perfect that year.

That’s a great point. And they would have to be almost perfect that year. Expanding the playoff even to 8 or 12 teams opens the doors so that the little guys can say “hey we might be able to make a run at this” and that’s all that matters. Anyone who’s not a big football fan looks at division 1 FBS Football and thinks every team has a shot to bring the championship trophy home but as you get a closer look it’s all broken down into tiers. But instead of it being something like a promotion and relegation we are stuck with the same 50 or so teams on national television and in playoff/bowl contention whether they are above .500 or not. With an expansion we will probably be watching the same teams over and over again but what really matters to me as a fan is giving Cinderella schools a shot to control their own destiny.

  2. Since 2014 we’ve had the College Football Playoff (CFP) in order to determine a National Champion. While I preferably love the idea of a playoff at the collegiate level, I still don’t feel the NCAA has executed it correctly. It is inevitable that the CFP will eventually expand but the question is: how soon, how many, and what will the format look like.

There has been talks of 8, 12, or even 16 teams that may eventually compete for the coveted “College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy” in time.

I feel expansion is a need in order for the game and College Football as a whole to grow. Most schools at the division 1 level set there goals towards making a bowl game, but why not more. 4 teams isn’t enough, there are no upsets, no Cinderella stories, and basically the same matchups year in and year out.
So now it’s up to the boards, if you were in charge or on the CFP Committee how would you do it?

  3. What a way to finalize the 20 teams! Hawaii looks fantastic man! I really enjoyed you spicing up the boards with this content. It’s nice to get away from the big 4 leagues redesigns and get some good ole fictional leagues in here. Can’t wait to see what else this thread has in store! Whether you continue with this or not it’s been quite an enjoyable ride fs.

Being originally from Wisconsin myself I had thought about putting a team in Milwaukee (or even Green Bay just for fun despite it being a smaller city) but don’t have any logo made that would be specific to the area.

I do have a logo made for a team called the Bees which needs a home city yet. I was brainstorming locations and could add Milwaukee to the list.

Not sure, would it fit Milwaukee?

    -Buffalo Bees

-Carolina Bees (it could be a takeoff of the Charlotte Hornets)

    -Milwaukee Bees

    -Nashville/Memphis Bees

    -or some other city

Nashville/Memphis doesn’t sound so bad. At least I do feel a team in Tennessee would work for this league.

  5. That’s amazing man! Exactly how I envisioned it to! I agree that it creates diversity within the league. I like how you made the “South” on the home jerseys black so it pops out. One thing I love about professional sports in Florida is that all 4 of the major sports leagues have at least 2 teams in Florida meaning we always have an in state rivalry going on so I’m glad that’s expressed in this league as well.

  6. Being from Florida people go crazy for the Gators man so even though I understand that this is entirely fictional

if there was ever an expansion franchise for team anywhere in Florida It would be highly unlikely that any Gators licensing would be used. I really like the whole usage of the Crocs/Crocodiles name and even though I know some people might not agree I really like the South Florida Crocodiles it just gives the state of Florida a brand we have never really seen besides the USF Bulls. And I think it would look so beautiful to see the words “South Florida” across a jersey. Also Florida is really into slangs for example “i’m going to a Noles game” “I’m going to a Bucs game” etc so I could definitely see someone saying “I’m going to a Crocs game”

  7. Being from Florida I really appreciate seeing a brand I’ve never seen before! I’m so used to the tropical/pirate brand that seeing a Floridian team called the Thunderhawks is really rad!! I know in your first post you mentioned about maybe doing courts for the teams. No rush I know you’ve  probably just haven’t gotten to them yet but either way just thinking of what the courts of teams in the USBL would look like gets me really excited on whats to come next! Keep up the amazing work.
