Hockey - I have said enough negative things about this hockey club so I'll spare you all that diatribe again. The Vandals hockey team mixes black, silver and gold and they do it pretty well but I wanted to get away from that and save silver for the alternate. So with that, the Steelers stripes come over to the sleeves. I retired their college wordmark + number treatment and replaced it with the I-Block logo. I did briefly consider a gold helmet for hockey, but I wasn't a fan in the end, so just black helmets. The silver uniforms for the non-football sports work into a fauxback sort of vibe. The college wordmark treatment returns, just with Joe Vandal under it instead of a player number, and the triple stripe swaps in for the Steeler stripes.

I think the alt would go good with the idaho script or the ido curved without joe vandal. im probably just gonna give my thoughts about hockey jerseys

Next up on our list are our gracious hosts of the First Four. Dayton has kept things pretty classic in style and so did I, but I did try and add a little bit of modernity to it at the same time.

Football - Like I mentioned in the very short preamble, Dayton has kept things pretty simple. My little addition to the look is using the wings from the primary logo as part of the stripe and overall look. So from the top down, Four helmet styles! 2 designs each,  red and white with the primary Dayton - D logo on the sides. the other, also red and white with the wings from the logo now forming wings on the sides of the helmets. Jerseys take the stripes from the shoulders and move them to the sleeves, with a cutout of the wings from the logo. Finally down to the pants, which have the same style of the stripe but no cut out wings. Finally, for the first time in possibly ever, a navy alternate for Dayton, which is nothing more than a recolor, but that's more than alright IMO.

Hockey - So the Flyers' club team for the better part of a few years has worn the Chapel Blue color pretty exclusively which works for them, but now everything comes under a new umbrella. So while Chapel Blue goes away as the full time blue, it won't be gone for long. Anyways, the same stripes from football make their way across to the ice onto a pretty classic styled hockey uniform. Dayton is our first team in this new series to have multiple options for hockey pants, a modest two in this case, which also applies to the helmets in which there are two options.

Baseball - Like most teams you'll encounter here, baseball is a refined and simpler version of the main look. This one is no exception, as the only real change to the design is the jersey has the simpler cut stripe opposed to the full cut-out stripe. Otherwise it's about what you'd expect to see. The biggest addition to the group, continues the larger trend of getting every team a navy alternate.

Basketball - Could be argued that Dayton's basketball team is the most famous of the four sports on the list, and for pretty good reason. Their uniforms keep it classic but bring that modernity I was hoping to achieve. the arm and neck stripes use the simpler cut stripe. Shorts use the cut-out stripe at an angle on the sides of the shorts.

    And before we go:

All four teams get a Chapel Blue alternate that DOES NOT MIX AND MATCH. Felt it better that way to avoid looking like Ole Miss. Anyways, I gave the Chapel Blue uniforms a vintage feel, something their basketball has been doing already. This also introduces the Rudy Flyer logos into the mix as a fun deviation from the norm. Design stays largely the same, with the lighter blue replacing navy throughout. There's also a new Flyers script that gets used on all four jerseys.

That wraps up Dayton. Love to hear what you guys think!

I love all the hockey jerseys! especially the chapel blue.
