STL FANATIC
Giants will win the West and the Cubs will win the Wildcard. The Cardinals won't win it all. The reason they've done so good is because their starting pitching has remained healthy all year, unlikely every other team. That's the reason...if you choose to ignore our insanely potent lineup. One of the best ever. And of course, you'd also be ignoring one heck of a bullpen, and our incredible defense. Not to mention that pitching that has stayed healthy...is really, really good.I don't wanna here this short series crap...none of these star pitchers for the Cubs have been that good this year when healthy anyway, AND, we've been very good against the star pitchers we've faced this year anyway. The truth is, the playoffs are a bit of a crap shoot, so nobody is a shoein or lock to get to or win the Series. However, there's no reason to think the Cardinals aren't good enough. But hey...you probably expected them to finish third in the division like 90+% of baseball followers (including a lot of Cards fans), so if you wanna discount them again and let them surprise you...so be it.
