Gobert has more Defensive Player of the Year awards than Hakeem. So maybe it's not as stupid as some people's poorly thought out edgy takes on a message board.
Hell Mutombo (who has the most) would be a better choice.
Mutombo is tied for the most with Ben Wallace, who would be a better choice, him or Rodman. No Detroit bias here though.

Western Michigan released their new uniforms. Sadly just an unveil video and no pictures.

Speaking of Western Michigan they have brought back a brown helmet for this season and have been practicing exclusively in brown all of fall camp.

Perhaps The Dolphins will make the switch we fans have wanted for years?
Apparently the twitter poster made it up.

Just be happy the Lions moved away from black lol.
Don't jinx it. You might speak it back into existence.

Dog I've been right about everything so far but the Saints, and that was a last minute decision.

Exactly. When the Pistons went teal, it meant something. They were fully committed to being a real franchise with a weird horse logo.
Now, people can shift new primary logos to alt logos if no one likes them, and the classic uniforms stick around anyway.
There's no stake in all of it; it's just our Concepts Forum brought to life. Which is cool in a way, but also very much not.
Nah, Pistons in blue, red and white, actually means something.

Even in basketball and football unis that Nike does put trim on, what is their hatred with having number outlines?

I don't know which I find more ugly, played out, and boring... all white (icy, storm-trooper, or whatever else childish and cringey thing they want to call it) or the all black (black-out, fake tough, got old 15 years ago).
I'm beyond over both of these trends.
Don't forgot teams deciding to adopt gray looks as well now.

Now, aesthetically, I like them -- they can make a uniform feel more complete. But there are some schools like Texas or Alabama where I just prefer the super plain uniform
This is the important part to me. Outside of Alabama and Stanford I hate teams not having TV numbers on the sleeves or shoulders.

Surprisingly these have only been worn 5 times (not counting the 09 AFL Anni unis which were different.)
The last 2 times were in back to back seasons against the Jets. The year before that against the Vikings and Lions. And the first time in 02 against the Lions on Thanksgiving.
So I guess my question would be, do they play the Lions this year?
They do week 5 in New England.

The red jerseys will be worn.
Since these official jerseys are for sale, it appears they are in the style guide, which is why they'll be ready for 2022:
2012 actually

If we’re jumping on the white at home for a bit…can someone explain why a bucs red jersey is too hot, but if you pair the white jersey with pewter (much darker than red) pants, it’s ok…and how the Miami hurricanes can wear their green jersey at home (sometimes with green pants) yet 24 hours later in the same stadium, the dolphins aqua is too hot?
Miami, Florida, and Florida State all seem to handle the Florida heat fine in their home uniforms.

It really scares me how much Gen Z clamors for the teal on social media. Enough so that I've worried that the inept Tom Gores management group might actually consider bringing it back full time. Hopefully this Classic Edition satiates them.
I am absolutely terrified of this.

Why do I have a feeling that all alt helmets that aren’t throwbacks will be black or white (though the Chargers might have a navy helmet but who knows)
That is exactly what is going to happen sadly. Black so all the fans on social media can but flame emojis and talk about a black out and white so they can post icy emojis.

Hopefully this rule will mean that the Rams 4th jersey they’re set to debut next year will be their “Sol” rather than the feared BFBS alt.I'm guessing blue and white throwback or a blue and bone fauxback.

Televisions are now high definition and broadcasters don't need them as much.
Yeah but teams keep coming out with ridiculous fonts and number colors that make it harder to read no matter how nice a TV is.

"one of the main helmets"
oh dear god...
Yep, sadly the floodgates on alternate helmets are about to open. I'm expecting a lot of black, white and even gray alternate helmets to start making there way into the NFL. This is going to suck.
I liked the glimpses we got from the home and road uniform and the main helmet. I was hoping for them to keep their classic uniforms and just throw the new logo on the helmet but I knew Nike wouldn't allow that, plus I knew they would go with a "custom" font even though block is the best, especially for a classic team.

Heres what I've been seeing about sponsors:
Changing their jersey sponsor:
- Los Angeles Lakers
- Philadelphia 76ers
- Houston Rockets - which we (unfortunaly) already seen
- Portland Trail Blazers - which we already seen
Played Summer League without a jersey sponsor but I dunno if it means something:
- Brooklyn Nets
- Memphis Grizzlies
- Washington Wizards
Still without a jersey sponsor:
- Minnesota Timberwolves
- Sacramento Kings
And a nod to the Bolton Celtics which apparently are changing the patch, but not the sponsor.
The Pistons also changed their sponsor.

I think I could be more on board with it if it didn’t have that giant superimposed logo. Maybe red keys too instead of the whole no paint thing which is best left to the mid 2000s, kind of an inverse of the (sadly) now old court. Let’s not talk about the 313 court..
It feels like everything the Pistons do with their branding is catering to the 15 year old crowd on Instagram, chasing fire emojis.
Sadly this is the case. The Pistons seem to be doing everything for the Twitter Instagram crowd. I have nightmares about them going back to teal.

But it wasn't even his work he claims the unveiling confirms. It was SportsLogos.net.
My main point is that I can't believe a details guy like Lukas thinks the Rams new alternate is the same as the one the autograph company created last week. That one is off-white with yellow sleeve stripes.
He's a lazy hack who hasn't tried in years and just pushes his merchandise.

It is bad. I don’t know how anyone can look at that and say it’s not. I’m not talking about the set as a whole either. I’m talking about how, for some reason, Lawrence (or whoever told him and Etienne to wear this for the photo shoot), thought the all white below the waist was a good look.
Unless I missed something last season, for as bad as the Rams may look, at least they never wore all bone below the waist in a game.
They did and it looks way worse.

Why did they make their jersey template worse?
I agree, the untouchable template with minimal seams all on the back are perfect.

I don't know why so many lobby for WRs to be able to wear single digits in the NFL--but if we're gonna bust the ol' rules, then go all the way--open up everything within the range of 0-49 for WRs
They are opening up like that with the proposal.
