  1. Do you think it would be better if I just had the volleyball as the "0" in 2011 and then just have Oozefest spelled out in the Diagonal script? Would that clear up some of the confusion?

  2. I definitely see what you are saying. I should clarify that it is a T-shirt design. The Oozefest is going upward and diagonal all the way to the shoulder with "ooze" splash around it.I was trying to give the effect that the ball was going over the net. I also think some of the words will be more obvious when color is added. But i would say that 2011 and Oozefest are equally important because they wanted me to incorporate the year and the name of the event.

  3. Hello all, I am in the process of designing a logo for a Mud Volley Ball Tournament called Oozefest. This is an annual event at The University of Central Florida and I have been chosen to create the logo this year. In the logo I have the year 2011 with the 11's as a net and the 0 doubling as the 0 in 2011 and first O in Oozefest. I also integrated the name of the organization who is putting on the event in the net. "4EK" 4Ever Knights. This is not the final draft and I realize i have one to many E's in Oozefest in the logo, it will obviously be changed. I am presenting the logo tomorrow to the committe for the event and I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for my design. oozeefest.jpg

  4. Bless you sir for the inclusion of teal in your Marlins concept! As much as I utterly despise the use of orange in the Marlins identity today(which doesn't include the uniforms or logos in use, only marketing and giveaways), this Dolphins-esque look would be better than what they are probably going to end up with in 2012. Hopefully sometime long before the year 2035 Jeffery Loria sells the team and someone who likes teal and/or respects the history of the Marlins and it's fans will buy the club.

As for the concept itself, I'm not sold on the cap logo or font selection, but I like the subtle "wave" going on with the scripts. Again though, I'd gladly take this as opposed to what Mr. Loria likely has planned for 2012.

Could you maybe share what the color scheme might be? If you can't i understand but it would be cool to have an idea. I've been hearing a lot about a blue or dark blue color taking over the teal any truth to that.

  5. Alright, Thank you for your suggestions and i will find some time to make those changes. And i would love to make a teal version. I also love the teal, i just figured this might be a realistic color for the up coming change. Again thanks guys really appreciate it!

  6. Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. So as we all know the Marlins will be moving into their new retractable-roof ball park in a couple of years and the organization is overhauling their logo set. So here is a logo that i keep sketching. Sorry it's not a very clean computer graphic like some of you can make, I'm not very good with digital design but i can draw. Basically what i tried to do is base this off of the marlins current logo but modify the dorsal fin and instead of having a full body just the head. I also have changed the teal to a dark blue. I came up with the color because it is more accurate to what a marlin looks like and it is the same color as the seats in the stadium renderings. So tell me what you think, C&C is appreciated! Thanks guys.Picture186.jpg

Alright! you guys asked for it and here it is! added up an element to the logo that i've messed with before, inserting the "miami" into the dorsal fin. I also switched the way it is facing, changed the dark blue to teal, and tried to make the marlin "fiercer" again any more comments are appreciated! Thanks!

  7. i also think that there should be a few less outlines on the lettering. The outlines also look a little rough i don't know how else to describe it. Maybe if you squared them off made them look cleaner it would look much better. I like the idea though and i think it has some potential.
