Well, it looks like Montreal has a new flag...and Coat of Arms to go with it.

Je. Sus. Christ.
Coyotes to Tempe was going to be such a good idea too. Now what? They try partnering with the Suns again? They go back and plead for Glendale's forgiveness? This'll be rich.
Just move them to Quebec City already. They have their stadium built and are just waiting for a team to cheer on for crying out loud.

The swastika is a really well-designed insignia. Shame it can't be used anymore due to the historical baggage, especially since it was originally created to represent peace. Or so I've heard.
It's been around for a looooooong time. It's been found in all parts of the world in different time periods. Originally it is believed to mean "lucky" in sanskrit, the symbol also has religious overtones.

The design can found in Ancient Greece as a decorative border to Native American Indians as a design element. It was used as a good luck charm and could be found on cigarette packages. There is even a town in Canada that is called Swastika.

And Hitler had to go and screw with it.

Apparently that wasn't even one of the finalists. They had two designs they wanted the people to vote on but neither made the cut.
in the video about the two finalists you can see the mayor talking and in the background is what they would eventually use.
Sometimes the solution is staring right at you.

Nice list.
The US Civic flag reminds me more of the US Coast Guard.

Speaking of that, have we discussed what is apparently the "Blue Lives Matter" flag?
I saw this out and about and thought it was some kind of white supremacist deal, it looked so menacing. Does this violate the flag code somehow? If not, can we change the flag code so that it does? A dark, sinister version of the American flag just gives me the willies. It's too Raiders-y.
The Blue represents the officer and the courage they find deep inside when faced with insurmountable odds. The Black background was designed as a constant reminder of our fallen brother and sister officers. The Line is what police officers protect, the barrier between anarchy and a civilized society, between order and chaos, between respect for decency and lawlessness. Together they symbolize the camaraderie law enforcement officers all share, a brotherhood like none other.
There is a solid black flag with a single blue line in it that is flown during a funeral for a fallen officer. Both can be seen during an officers funeral and flown at the homes of officers and family members of officers.
There is also a similar design for Fire Fighters which replaces the blue line with a red one.

Um, Goth. Holy City is one of the nicknames for Charleston...and for good reason. Read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston,_South_Carolina#ReligionEverything except "Holy City". Ugh.
It's a beautiful city and now has a beautiful logo package.

Leave the politics out of this.
You mean an ESPN that no one is watching. So much so, that ESPN President John Skipper sent out a company wide memo to his employees basically stating that ESPN is well...ESPN and not MSNBC....YEEEEAAAAHHHH Right!
