Once again, each Big 10 team makes more from the BTN and ABC deals than ND makes from NBC.Can anyone honestly say that there is a better canidate than Notre Dame. I know they want to keep their independent status but if I was the Big Ten I would do everything I could to bring them on board.
Do they want to keep their Independent status? Or do they want to keep every cent of that lucrative NBC contract? I think it's the latter.
1) Will each Big Tenleven still make more from the BTN and ABC if it expanded to 12 teams?
2) Can you give us some figures to back that up? We're a cynical lot 'round here and generally need numbers to verify these types of claims.

It's definitely not Medium, notice the little notches (sorry, I don't know the technical language) on the u and g. Plus the s is completely different.

Any help identifying the two fonts here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
It looks a lot like Berthold City Bold Italic, but I can't quite tell if it's exactly the same. The stitching is throwing me off.

Can anyone tell me the font the Leafs are using here for their campaign this season?
Brothers Regular and the fancy "of" is Brothers Word Logos.

A knockoff of Friz Quadrata.
EDIT: Yep, here's one.

"People wearing or holding uniforms"

It looks like a modified version of Armada Bold for Oregon State, Armada Bold Compressed for UConn (Armada Bold for "Huskies" though).

There are thousands of dudes that have laced it up in the NHL at some point. It's not over until every one of them has been shown!

Nah. If I'd've been hatin', I'd've closed it. Just steering things back on course. Unlike some others, I've enjoyed this thread, no matter if some of the postings are a bit obscure.
Who doesn't like to see hockey players they've never heard of in jerseys you couldn't recognize unless someone told you?
-
Pat Burrell. The only thing he's legendary at is striking out and banging every cougar in the Deleware Valley. I've heard some very interesting stories from a girl I met that used to hook up with him.
If you're in your thirties when you bang 'em, are they still cougars anymore?
Not that I won't stop trying, mind you...

I was with Buc in renaming the thread, but after I saw this? F*** it. Just shut the whole damn thing down. The is the "Legends in the wrong uniforms" thread...and this motherf***er posts Mark "I didn't know he was still in NBA" Madsen.
This s*** didn't just jump the shark, it jumped all the sharks...San Jose Sharks, Iron Chef Shark, Jets and Sharks, the Jersey Shore Shark attacks of 1916, and even those 3 mechanical sharks from the "Jaws" flicks.

Its not a font but i have this if it helps you.
I'm still looking for a phillies jersey script font if anyone can help
Do you (or anyone else) have a vector version of this? If so...
WANT!
Yes, I know it's a standard block font with all kinds of serifs/spurs added, but I don't want to do it myself!

Brett Hull
Zach Parise (Legend in the making?)
If you dont understand, Ill explain.
You don't have to explain anything. They're in the right jerseys.
Parise was born and raised in Minnesota, so even though his Dad is Canadian and Zach could have played for the Canadians, Zach is American through and through.
Yeah, Hull was born in Canada, and spent a lot of time there, but he also lived in Chicago with his Dad, where all his other siblings were born. So, while he had dual citizenship, more than that, in '86 Team USA was the one who showed interest in him playing for them, not Canada. Hull decided to stick with that loyalty throughout his career.
I admire both of their decisions.
To us Canadians, both of them are traitors.
So you expect a kid who was BORN AND RAISED in Minnesota (which is in the U.S.) to play for Team Canada? Also, as Timaa said, Canada had no interest in Hull in '86, so it would seem they screwed him over before he "screwed" Canada over.
Hull also played for the University of Minnesota-Duluth, is enshrined in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, and is considered one of the greatest AMERICAN hockey players of all time. He's only considered Canadian because he was born in the summer, when the family vacationed in Ontario. The United States, being a very diverse country, have MLB and NBA players who hold American citizenship, even some BORN in America, play for other countries in the Olympics, World Championships, and what have you. They're not considered traitors by any stretch of the imagination.
You were around for the Giuseppe Rossi flap a few weeks ago, right? He certainly was considered a traitor...and probably still is to a lot of soccer nuts.

The "titles" or whatever you call 'em are a combination of the 3 LHF Billhead fonts.
-
Please forgive my ignorance, but there's no way to get those Liebe "fonts" is there? I mean I can't just go out and buy them, right?
-
Does anyone know what the Mets script font is? Or a similar one?
Yes, it is custom, but if you're good at tracing (or know someone that is) these are pretty close to the Mets home and road scripts:
-
What font is Randy's name here?
Damn. He hasn't aged one bit since appearing in the 1989 Topps set!
Only because he looked like a 45 year-old man back then.
-
I know this is custom but is there any font that is close to this, with or without the horns on the sides
The NOB font linked in eriqjaffe's signature is damn near perfect (MLB Angels).
-
"Special Ale" looks a lot like Monotype Corsiva. It's not, but it's close.

That's the team logo. It's a custom design.
Is the font custom too?
Yes.
Kruella by T-26 shares many characteristics with the D-backs letters, IIRC.

Apparently, Jordan only wore the 12 jersey once, February 14, 1990. His standard uniform was stolen by an Orlando Arena employee. It was a just a team back-up jersey and did not even feature a last name.

Forgive me if this has already been done, but I'll be damned if I go look through 29 pages.

What is the "Grizzlies vs Magic" font?
Players in the "wrong" uniforms
in Sports Logo General Discussion

It's not even players in the wrong uniforms anymore, it's just "people wearing or holding stuff with team logos on them or something like that" but that's too long for a viable topic title.
