  1. im actually surprised at how much i like almost all of these. just a couple questions though. 1. why change the titans logo and remove the stripes when they already have a white helmet? 2. why change the chargers logo color when they already have a white helmet? 3. can we not, for the love of god, please, ever just give the cardinals a red facemask?

  2. bringing this thread old old thread of mine back from the dead for one little update. i just kinda threw this together. the eagles are wearing all black tonight for the first time ever. they changed their pants stripe pattern and it doesnt make me very happy. so the first image is the base photo i used, then my representation of what theyre actually wearing tonight, then two versions of what i think they should have worn.

  3. These are amazing! What tools do you use to re-color the uniforms?

i actually started messing with all the different tools. i start by cutting out the item i want to recolor, say the jersey. then make sure to cut out all other colors [ie stripes, number outlines, logos, etc]. then i use the hue and saturation sliders, brightness and contrast, tone adjustment and those are really the three main components. every now and then it gets a little more complicated but some pictures, like the lions blue pants, im able to do in about 15 minutes. the hardest part is really cutting everything out.

  4. These are really cool. My favorites are the Bucs, Colts, and Titans. For the Titans, I would suggest keeping the blue outline in the numbers. I'd like to see you try the Bills with white socks on the blue pants along with a red helmet. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks man! To anybody still paying attention, I've been house sitting for my girlfriend's family all week so I haven't been doing much photostudio work. But in the next few days I should be back to doing these. Thank you all again for all the kind words :)

  5. Colts are so sick. Lions blue pants as well?

Thank you. was that not supposed to be a question, or did you not see the lions further up the page?

Nice work on these. A lot of the changes look really nice.

How about the Bears home set with orange pants to go off the Madden rumors?

    Hmm... that sounds fun...

  6. I like both the titans ones the only thing that would probably help is a red outline around the wordmark on the last one or some kind of red on the wordmark.

Also the socks could be changed to light blue I think.

I could see the light blue socks working here. I might try that if I get some time soon.

  7. man, this kinda fell off the wagon, huh? well I've got one more completed piece to post. I'm still gonna be working on some of these every now and then so if you have any other ideas for me to try, feel free to shout em out. thank you defrank for the lions idea. I'll actually do a colts one soon too. but for now, I cannot understand how with 9 different uniform possibilites, the Titans don't wear this. I swore I saw it once when the light blues were first introduced way back when.

I don't think I'll ever understand the decision to make the circus freakshow of colors the permanent home uniforms. wear them once in a while if you want, but I think that the second picture is much cleaner looking and more respectable. and since it seems like the decision to switch to light blue has something to do with going back to their oiler heritage, and theres a little bit of red in the titans' logo, I thought this might be kinda cool.

I guess it might be kind of tough to see all the detail but i plan on doing an actual mock-up of this set. I'm currently working on photoshopping the other 2 uniforms (white and dark blue).

  8. Like it! A lot of grey pants just don't have much presence in the away set, Lions included.

I agree. One thing I've always hated even more is grey facemasks. Especially teams that have deliberately switched back to them. like the browns. gross. but one thing I couldn't believe was when the cardinals released their "revolutionary" new uniforms and this didnt happen.

  9. And while we're on the topic of Big Cats that are black and blue [pun totally intended], I present:

Falcons black jerseys with red helmets??? Patriots in red pants? Colts in blue pants? Lions in blue pants? I love these so much.

    Debated on whether to put this one up or not. But because you requested it;

Lions blue pants is a great idea, I'll do that one soon. Dont know how i missed it, honestly...

  10. This is just some fun I had messing around with the Texans.

I've been meaning to do a blue jersey red pants picture but just havent gotten to it yet..

    Got this one done finally.

I like them, but I think I like Arian's more.

  11. Then I decided to experiment with taking silver out of the color scheme altogether.

I personally love the all black look [very panther-esque] and think the blue on white is a drastic improvement. But those are my opinions. I'd like to hear yours :)

  12. Having a silver helmet and silver pants, I've never understood why the panthers wore white pants with their white jerseys.

Also, where most teams wear primary colored pants, I wondered why they never tried this.

NOTE: I drew these up a few weeks ago, before the debut of Carolina's black monochromes.

  13. Pretty cool. I especially like that last Texans look, but I would flip the colors to have the jersey blue and the pants red.

I've been meaning to do a blue on red uniform as well. Just havent gotten to it yet.

For the Broncos jersey, I'd suggest removing the Nike collar or also making it orange.

Love NE but I think it'd look better without the blue piping on the jersey. Also make the pants and helmet match.

The Bucs jersey looks great, but like someone said the pewter pants should match. Also, the red on the logos should be changed to creamsicle orange.

I agree, I did want to try a pewter pants version of the orange jersey and I still will at some point. The idea I had here was that they already have the white pants. And I know I changed the stripes, But that's what I feel they'd be more likely to do as a third pair of paints. And while orange logos would be cool, I don't believe teams can change logo colors for alternates unless they are throwbacks.

Thank you all very much for the kind words!

  14. Pats I would try navy pants and make the navy piping silver, it looks good as is.

Broncos look good but as griffin said its a bad logo, plus it wouldn't fit on anyone besides manning's sleeves

Ha, this is true. Thank you guys for the compliments :)

  15. And here is the second piece I did. I've always been bugged by two things about the Broncos uniforms. They have nothing on their sleeves. And while they have blue pants, they don't wear them with white jerseys. I wanted to make it possible for them to do this.

  16. I use a program called ArcSoft PhotoStudio. It's not nearly as sophisticated as Adobe PhotoShop but it is still miles ahead of Paint. I've been wanting to be able to do these types of things for a long time and I've tried in the past but was never satisfied. I finally started playing with it again and I've been somewhat proud of my results so I just wanted to share some of them with you folks. These images are welcome to C&C, some of them are full on uniform concepts where some are minor tweaks and just testing my abilities. Thank you for viewing.

First up is the first image that I completed. I had been trying at this particular concept for a long long time and I felt very satisfied when I finally achieved this product. Now I don't want to start any wars. I understand that the Patriots represent the American colonists during the revolution and red was worn by our British enemies. I understand that the Patriots won all of their Super Bowls in blue jerseys and got blown out in red (though they are now below .500 all time again). Still, the Patriots colors are Red, White and Blue (and Silver), and fans love the nostalgic red throwbacks, but I've wanted to see a modern red alternate uniform for a long while. Key word here is alternate. Once or twice a year. So without further adue, my New England Patriots alternate uniform concept.
