5 players at the unveiling suggests 5 uniforms to model. My predictions/hopes:

Home - White that looks like the 1972-1986 uniform.

Road - Gray with pinstripes, current road wordmark.

Alt 1 - Cream with pinstripes.

Alt 2 - Blue, current road wordmark.

Alt 3 - Edit: City Connect

You make a great point with the 5 players and having 5 different uniforms.

The uniforms appear to be very clean from what I can see in the images.  The elimination of Kasota Gold would be a major upgrade.  Traditional red, white and blue piping.  I agree with you in getting the sense that the home white will be something similar to what they wore from 1972-1986.

I just hope the road script is consistent with the home script whether it's "Minnesota" or "Twins".

It wouldn't surprise me if the "November 18" font is what we see on the uniforms for player names and numbers.

There has been a rumor that the Twins are ditching gold next year, and possibly moving to the 'Twins" script that they've been using on social media and scoreboard graphics for the past two seasons (as well as the 2020 Homer Hanky). No idea if it will actually happen or not, as the last I heard about it was about a year ago.

I have not heard that rumor but it sure would be nice if they would remove the gold.  They definitely need to figure out their identity and drop one or two of their alternates as well.  They rarely even wear their home whites anymore since they have a navy, red, and powder blue alternate.  Do you really need four uniform options for home games?

They had a beautiful 1960's cream throwback that they got rid of in favor of the blue and red alternates.

  3. They had rolls of turf on little carts scattered throughout the entire field, indicating they are probably going to be replacing the entire turf field for the Super Bowl.

I know the NFL typically takes control of the Super Bowl stadium as soon as week 17 is over but they had to wait until after the Vikings playoff run.  That is why the NFL was worried about the tight timeframe had Minnesota hosted the NFC Championship game.

There is no baseball being played in the stadium until after the Super Bowl as the NFL now has control of the venue.

  4. NHL Realignment: Detroit Red Wings Could Land In NHL's Southeast Division

I hope the NHL does more than simply swap Detroit and Winnipeg because teams like Minnesota and Dallas deserve much better. Minnesota should be playing teams like Chicago, St. Louis and Winnipeg. It's not fun as a fan when a majority of the games do not start until after 9pm local time.

I hope the NHL is smarter than this and makes several other moves. The future of Phoenix is a big question mark beyond 2011-2012 but there needs to be more to the solution than simply placing Detroit in the Southeast and Winnipeg in the Central.
