If you think the name suggestions here are terrible, what do you think the Utah NHL team should use as a name?

Man has this thread gotten name jacked.
Yeah it has.
I pop over here once in a while. I’ll see terrible nicknames, make sure the wild aren’t going full time green and gold, and head out!

Everything around us is getting crappier, meaner, dumber, and more expensive, and I think we're seeing that more than ever in baseball this year. Five years ago, the idea of teams just not having uniform stock would have been unthinkable. So too would have been "I dunno the Sacramento Athletics for a while I guess and then Las Vegas I hope maybe." Everything sucks so bad.
You hit the nail on the head. It’s seeping everywhere around us and not just in sports.
Quick bucks and cash grabs are becoming even more prominent, with more buzzwords being thrown in.
It’s not just nostalgia either!

I noticed the Royals name change as they were playing the Twins but the Twins still have large letters on their jerseys. Are they the only team to avoid the small letters change? Also no ad patch, yet. #WINNING
Nah, since they rebranded last year the names are already a little smaller than the standard block names from last year.
They also will have an ad any time now. They have moved the MN patch on the sleeve dependent on the player.

I feel like every single Nike/NFL redesign has come with the announcement in one form or another that the new uniform will respect the past while embracing the future. It just seems to be something they say. It's meaningless at this point.
They also say every time that the players have seen them and rave about them. That's most likely meaningless also, not that it matters. Player have absolutely horrendous taste in uniforms.

”Honoring Past Embracing Future”

I really don’t think black works with the Mets, but that’s just me.
I like when the only colored jersey is blue, with orange and white.

I like these better than the regular whites.
I do too. They need that purple in their normal white uniforms.

that logo just kinda emphasizes how dark the teal is on their logos for some reason is. and how dark the purple is all around the team’s branding (uniform, court, etc)
I find it interesting that there is such a difference in color shade. I do like how bright the teal is on the uniforms, and how… purple the purple is as well. It really makes it all pop compared to their initial colors in the 90s.- 3

I’m still a little torn on which I like better. I’m more of a fan of the Navy wordmark. Could do without the gold, but it’s barely noticeable.
The red feels a bit classic as they have had a red wordmark from the 70’s to 2014.
either way, I think both look good. Twins did a nice job.

Not the best look in my view. For a primarily Navy team, there is such a lack of it in our home set. Navy helmets would look better.
I’d be okay with a tri colored alternate hat, however.

@Kg54mvp, I'd like to take a moment to apologize and eat my words from earlier, it appears the rumors you heard were nearly spot on. I guess I didn't consider the possibility that President St. Peter would outright lie (or, more charitably to him, simply doesn't have quite the eye for this kind of stuff that we do).
I'll post a full review of the set a little bit later (Spoiler alert: I love it).
No worries! Your comment made total sense as I looked at the article again from St. Peter and was convinced the rumors were false. He just better not lead us on again like that!

I like the Home, but the rest are just okay. Hoping Powder blue comes back at some point.

So...Minnie and Paul replaced by Twin Flags. Interesting concept for the cream alts, but I'm sure a sizeable segment of (whatever exists of) Twins Nation are probably miffed the old M&P is gone--unless it ain't. (Still waiting on a logo slick, official or semi-official, to confirm.)
It's gone I believe. I am sad about it! But oh well, I still have Minnie and Paul merch I can rock.

Longshot prediction: No gray at all.
As bland as grey uniforms can be, I’d sorely miss them.

I could see them removing Minnie & Paul from the uniform, but not from their overall graphic package, considering how prominent that logo is behind center field at Target Field.
Speaking of that, I'm curious as to whether they'll be updating
1 hour ago, MJD7 said:I think this makes powder blue significantly more likely to remain in this new set. It would be too random to be the base color of a new shirt for it not to appear in the new branding somehow. I really hope it does.
I think if they do have a powder blue jersey though (and I hope they do), it needs outlines for the text. I imagine red would get lost on the powder blue background & be difficult to read. Maybe they could do a white outline, similar to their Players' Weekend design:
I think/hope the sleeve striping will be white/navy/red, to separate the white & red much like the TC, but otherwise I'd be really happy with this as the navy alternate.
I was wondering the same thing myself. I imagine there will be, as the Twins have never struck me as the type of team to do something adventurous like being the first team without a gray(ish) road jersey, but we'll see.
This is 100% false, as Twins president Dave St. Peter confirmed that the Minnie & Paul logo will remain, albeit with some "tweaks."
The powder blue t-shirt leak also strongly suggests that powder blue will be part of the color pallete to some degree.
It's confirmed the scoreboard will be updated, and presumably, the Minnie & Paul logo will be too.
I hope this is the case and what I’m hearing is hogwash.
Forgot about St. Peter saying Minnie and Paul would stay. Let’s just hope powder blue does too.

Speaking of that, I'm curious as to whether they'll be updating the giant stadium signage with this brand update. The Minnie & Paul sign uses the old baseball logo, and the prior wordmark is pretty ginormous above the left-center scoreboard.
I really hope they don’t remove it in any way. I know there was some controversy because the players in the logo were “only white” (sigh..)
they are getting a new scoreboard and I’d assume replacing the minny and Paul sign in the outfield as well.

Uh oh.
I’m hearing some bad news. There will only be three uniforms revealed, with two hats..powder blue and the Minnie and Paul handshake logo are gone.so that makes it the;
Home White
Alt Navy
Away?
Troubling news to be honest. Not only will traditionalists be upset that the Minnie and Paul logo is gone, but many that love the powder blue will be upset as well.

Liking my predictions even more after recent leaks.
Home- White, TWINS red, front number navy, name navy, number red
Away- Grey, MINNESOTA Navy, front number red, name red, back number navy
Alt- Navy, MINNESOTA white, front number red, name red, back number white
Alt- Powder Blue, TWINS red, front number navy, name navy, back number red
Alt- White, TWIN CITIES navy, front number navy, name navy, back number navy
I think you are right on the money.
Assuming the Twin Cities Uniform will be the city connect for 2024 as well!

I've gotta be honest, if this ends up becoming the home jersey, as it seems like it will be something close to this, I won't be disappointed.
Much like the new TC, the solid red text is really growing on me. I'm starting to see the vision, they really seem to be trying to embrace the dual-color nature of the TC and create a clean, streamlined look around it. I might even like this direction more than my original concept.
It makes me really curious to see how the away and navy jerseys will turn out, and if they will have any other jerseys beyond that (a cream alternate seems likely).
Apologies if I've been posting too many concepts/renders in this thread. If you can't tell, I'm excited for Friday.
I’m loving your mock ups, Keep it up!- 1

This is terrible if true. Everybody already knows it’s cold up here and they already have decent white jerseys. I don’t get it.
