  1. By definition, none of those redneck cars belongs in a "uniform" thread.

    From m-w.com

    Uniform (noun)

-a special kind of clothing that is worn by all members of a group or organization.

    -Dress of a distinctive design or fashion worn by members of a particular group and serving as a means of identification;

Technically, they wear special drivers suits while racing, so that could be the uniform? ^_^

The suit matches the pit crew, so technically according to your definition it is a uniform
  2. Akron, I Luke the home, unique and original, the clash I would widen the stripe to go between the shoulders and enlargen the roo. For the fauxback I would try stripes like the home but more and thinner, is the jersey a zip front or just faux zip (ala port Adelaide's faux laces)

Georgia tech. I like the home but feel the clash would be way to garish (on second thought it looks good for Georgia tech) lobe the fauxback

  3. Maryland's 2012 uniforms were amazing (not counting wacky alternates). It took a few tries but Under Armour hit a home run with these.

I know it's a weird question but when players tape their wrist like that do they use a special type of tape or just regular athletic tape?

  4. Not gonna quote what drdougfresh said because that'd be much too big of a post.

But your telling me this is not a different look? I think it totally is from the logo change, helment stripe, font, and the darker shade of blue.

Key word: MAJOR. Yes, they're different. Never said they weren't. What I'm saying is its not a major change in my eyes. Not as distinct as most of the matchups in this thread. Just depends on how nitpicky you want to be, I guess. But yes, technically speaking, those are different uniforms...

I would call that a major change, the only thing that is the same is the color of the helmet jersey and pants

  5. Just out of curiosity, does everyone here that mercilessly flames people for saving money and getting jerseys on eBay, etc, all pay for all the music they listen to?

    I'm aware it's a bit different.

Well, buying a fake jersey is less like downloading and MP3 and more like holding a tape recorder to the radio.

I will never flame someone for buying a jersey second hand. The licencing fees (which lets face it, is the real cost-factor) for MLB/NFL jerseys prices them out of any semblance of a reasonable price range. Besides, I'd rather buy an actual jersey from the Marlins 1993 season on eBay than hope that M&N or Majestic will eventually make a throwback (and probably botch, it too).

There's a line between buying smart and buying knock-offs.

Holding a tape recorder to the radio is like buying fabric and sewing your own jersey: making your own product from the raw materials. I think the illegal download to jersey comparison is pretty apt. The only difference is that a digital file can be nearly identical to the real thing. Does the quality of the fake really make it right or wrong?

I would say that building your own jersey is more like recording your own version of the song so you don't have to buy it
