  1. Dont know where this would go.... but could anyone tell me where thered be a Russell LSU #2 Jersey for sale on the internet? I cant find any. I can find a #4, but none with the #2, not on LSU's site, not ebay, nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. If I recall, John Kerry refered to Lambeau Field as Lambert Field in his Presidential Run in '04.... now thats a dumb mistake to make in Wisconsin.
  3. San Francisco, Cleveland, Carolina, Minnesota, Buffalo were all big winners. Miami, Tennessee, Green Bay, Baltimore, Seattle are all losers. Best available on Day 2: Tanard Jackson Ben Patrick Antonio Pittman Josh Beekman Aundrae Allison Brandon Siler Troy Smith Mason Crosby Brian Robison Fred Bennett Zak DeOssie
  4. How bout Ben Patrick from Delaware? They need someone to replace the pile of crap known as Jerammy Stevens...
  5. NFLN just reminded me how big of a headache Oakland's receieving core could be next year..... Moss, Porter, and Mike Williams.... good luck Lane Kiffin. Good move. Stanton had top 10 pick potential. With Martz coaching him up and sitting behind Kitna for a while, I think Stanton could be good. Plus when you have Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson, its damn hard not to be productive.
  6. Mike Williams and Josh McCown to Oakland for a 4th.
  7. Report is that Cleveland is set to take Thomas at #3. I dont know if this is a smokescreen or not...

  9. The team picking first has the right to negotiate and sign any player in the draft before hand. The player they sign would have to be their first overall pick. If this happens the second team picking can not sign a player until after they draft them, signing before the draft is only reserved for whom is picking first.
  10. Best: Brewers. Worst: Red Sox.
  11. Good move. You go to college to position yourself into a place where you can get a good job. Durant's done that. If he stayed and either a) got hurt or b ) had a less than stellar year, his stock would go down and he wouldnt make nearly as much money. Right now his stock is as high as it can be, and hes taking full advantage.
  12. I went to a Lions game at the same time as a Tigers game last year (who scheduled this?)... Needless to say traffic was a tad crazy. If the Wings built behind the Fox it would be pandemonium.
  13. Anyone else hear the Skins offered #6 to the Bears for Briggs and #31? That deal is too good to be true for Chicago if its true...... and yet another way Snyder is proving he doesnt know how to correctly build a franchise.
  14. That would be a good move. Rattay would be an excellent #2. I always thought he was underrated.
  15. Atlanta wipped Houston. Big time. But Carr had to go. He had run out of oppurtunities. Sure he had a bad OLine, but Rosenfels didnt seem to have an issue when he stepped in and played. Carr just couldnt read the D fast enough, and held on too long. Hopefully Schaub does better.
  16. *also puts on blindfold* North Dakota Boston College UMass Notre Dame
  17. Moss' height and TO's speed? Moss isnt overly tall and TO isnt overly fast.... interesting you said those two attributes. And when was Carson Palmer a sure pick? Many draft experts had him as very risky (only one good season) and even had Leftwich rated above him. And Mike Williams was the BPA at that point in 05. Doesnt make it a smart pick, but remember he was ranked #1 by Mel Kiper and very highly by many others. Doesn't mean he was ranked highly in the front office but going into the draft he was suppost to challenge for the top 5. They already have a playmaker at receiver, and Mike Furrey looked great last year. For Matt Millen's sake, he better hope BMW turns out to be the slot receiver he's suppost to be. If Im Millen, and I cant trade down I take Quinn or Russell if hes available. Kitna is becoming ancient, plus hes not that good to begin with. Bringing in a franchise QB for the future could help save the franchise. After Joey though they may be gun shy, but IMO thats the smartest option. Wait a minute.... I thought you wanted Dwayne Jarrett over Johnson?
  18. UNLV and SIU to the Final 4.
  19. I absolutely love the old uni's... and at first I was skeptical when I saw these. But they're growing on me... I'm sure once I see them in action, they will establish themselves as one of the best in the league, just as their old set was. Way to go San Diego!
  20. We wouldn't want to hurt the logo's feelings, now would we?
  21. Midwest- UNLV South- Memphis East- Georgetown West- Southern Illinois Champ- Georgetown Yeah Im making wacky predictions this year. I agree with both of these. Im gonna throw out George Washington over Vanderbilt as well.
  22. It's embarassingly ugly.
  23. After seeing this replay 75 times, I totally agree, Pat. He's got a history. He needs to go, for good. He's a punk with no respect for the game, his opponents, or his team even. There's no place in this game for a criminal like this. We get it. Basketball, hockey, so on, so forth. We get it. Drop it. I'll echo the prior comment. Spontaneous reaction, albeit disproportionate to what precipitated it. It wasn't a planned hit like Bertuzzi's. That said, take him out for the balance of the season, maybe the first round of the playoffs too. We needn't kick him out of the league. Also, "suspended along time"? As in along the time-space continuum? That actually might be a stiff punishment indeed. But while kicking him out completely may be considered too harsh Im just thinking, this guy has a history of unnecessary violence. Then he goes and swings his stick like a bat at someone's head. If I was running the league I wouldn't want someone like that playing and representing the league.
  24. <Paul Tagliabue Voice> There has been a trade. Washington sends their 1999 1st round pick to New Orleans for their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks, as well as their 2000 1st and 3rd round picks. And with the fifth selection, New Orleans selects Ricky Williams from the University of Texas. </Paul Tagliabue Voice> Good Point BUT. The trade bucfan suggested would mean Jake Plummer is worth the 12th overall pick. (look up a draft pick trade chart). Is anyone dumb enough to think that? I really cant understand what the issue would be with that. Oakland makes that kinda move they get the vet presence they want at QB plus possibly a big back in Adrian Peterson. Its not like the bucs have the 20th pick or anyhting. And even so, if they make that deal and dont want a running back, both Quinn and JaMarcus Russel could still be on the board and then could sit behind Plummer for a year or two and develop instead of being tossed into the game immidately. To trade up from #4 to #1 it would take something equivalent to the 12th Overall Pick to get there. Look up a trade value chart. (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/valuechart.html). As we now know Plummer is worth a 4th Round Pick at best. As you see with that value the Bucs couldnt even move up from #4 to #3 with that deal. The trade you suggested is more lop sided than Tara Reid post boob job. Because of a"Trade Values Chart"? Ive never even heard of that. And I dont see how its lopsided if the Raiders gain an extra veteran quarterback, dont lose anything anyway (Either Quinn or Russel and Peterson WILL still be there in the forth slot), and end up paying less for their pick. Is having the first pick really that super awesome that its not worth trading even if your set to gain quite a bit more? I mean yeah sure, that chart thingy says its not good, but that chart thingy doesnt take into account other factors such as income of your pick, vet presence, the fact that whoever the Raiders choose would be tossed into the game still wet, ect ect ect. That Trade Value Chart is very, very, close to the one NFL teams use to value Draft Picks. If you think the Raiders would drop down out of the top pick cause of Jake Plummer then thats cool, but Im saying its just not realisitc. The Raiders can choose any player they want at #1. By going to #4 you could have your top 3 players on the board gone by the time you pick. Its crazy to suggest that an aging QB, thats worth a 4th round pick at best, whos been benched, and has mediocre at best stats recently would get a team to trade out of #1. Look how much it took for New York to get Manning and the #1 Selection. If anything I could see the Raiders taking CJ and trading him for a huge amount to someone for picking Russell.... i.e. 1) OAK- CJ 2) DET- Thomas 3) CLE- Peterson 4) TB- Russell Then Oakland could make Tampa give up say Russell, a 3rd, next years first, and a late draft pick next year for CJ.
