No corporate base to draw from, no stadium site, no political will to build a stadium suitable for an MLB team, and murderous summer temperatures just to name a few reason why not.
Could Sutter Health Park be upgraded to MLB standards?

Someone at oeast started a WNBA concept thread in October. I think there was an AUDL concept with additional teams.
Would you happen to know the URLs so I can look at them?

SAN ANTONIO & AUSTIN (One or the other, basically close enough to be considered one market): Possibility.
SACRAMENTO: Not really.
Between San Antonio and Austin, which city do you feel would be better suited?
And why 'not really' for Sacramento? Just curious.

Has anyone considered doing concept ideas for the following leagues?
WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association)
NWHL (National Women's Hockey League)
MLR (Major League Rugby)
MLL (Major League Lacrosse)
AUDL (American Ultimate Disc League)
Since this comment was made back in 2019, have any of those possible concepts listed above been attempted/made?

Could any of these cities be in contention?
San Antonio
Austin
El Paso
Tucson
Fresno
Inland Empire (San Bernadino/Riverside)
Salt Lake City
I'll also throw some Mexican cities into the mix:
Mexico City
Guadalajara
Monterrey

In light of the leaking of the list of the 42 teams targeted for elimination from Minor League Baseball, I have worked out a potential alignment of MiLB's New World Order. Some of it is simple, some very complex:
AAA
International League
Buffalo, Lehigh Valley, Rochester, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Syracuse, Worcester
Charlotte, Durham, Gwinnett, Norfolk
Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville. Memphis, Nashville, Toledo
Iowa, Omaha, St. Paul, Wichita
Pacific Coast League
Albuquerque, El Paso, Oklahoma City, Round Rock, San Antonio
Las Vegas, Reno, Sacramento, Salt Lake, Tacoma
AA
Eastern League
Akron, Altoona, Bowie, Brooklyn, Dayton, Harrisburg, Hartford, New Hampshire, Portland, Reading, Trenton, West Michigan
Southern League
Arkansas, Biloxi, Birmingham, Jacksonville, Mississippi, Montgomery, Pensacola, Richmond, Rocket City, Tennessee
Texas League
Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Frisco, Midland, NW Arkansas, Springfield MO, Sugarland, Tulsa
High-A
California League
Fresno, Lake Elsinore, Modesto, Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, San Jose, Stockton, Visalia
Carolina League
Aberdeen, Asheville, Carolina, Down East, Fayetteville, Fredericksburg, Greensboro, Hickory, Kannapolis, Lynchburg, Salem, Winston-Salem
Florida State League
Bradenton, Charlotte, Clearwater, Dunedin, Fort Myers, Jupiter, Lakeland, Palm Beach, St. Lucie. Tampa
Low-A
Midwest League
Beloit or Quad Cities, Bowling Green, Cedar Rapids, Fort Wayne, Great Lakes, Kane County, Lansing, Peoria, South Bend, Wiscnsin
New York-Penn League(For lack of better options)
Delmarva, Hudson Valley, Lake County, Lakewood, Staten Island, Tri-City(NY), West Virginia Black Bears, Wilmington
Northwest League
Boise, Eugene, Everett, Hillsboro, Spokane, Vancouver
South Atlantic League
Augusta, Charleston(SC), Columbia, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, Rome
Any suggestions, thoughts, and/or blind rage at my realignment?
So the following farm teams are both not geographically close and do not have direct flights between each other.
How would you better realign the following teams? Do a parent/farm swap? Or move a farm team closer to their parent team?
AAA
• Rochester Red Wings with the Twins
• El Paso Chihuahuas with the Padres• Fresno Grizzlies with the Nationals
• Oklahoma City Dodgers with the Dodgers
• San Antonio Missions with the Brewers
• Wichita Wind Surge with the MarlinsAA
• Hartford Yard Goats with the Rockies
• Richmond Flying Squirrels with the Giants
• Biloxi Shuckers with the Brewers
• Jackson Generals with the Diamondbacks
• Pensacola Blue Wahoos with the Twins
• Rocket City Trash Pandas with the Angels
• Amarillo Sod Poodles with the Padres
• Arkansas Travelers with the Mariners
• Midland Rockhounds with the A's
• Tulsa Drillers with the Dodgers -

I recall also reading that some MILB teams could become more geographically aligned with their big league counterpart.
If this is the case, who can you see being moved around and to where?
-
Since it seems that the most generic nicknames are of the Defenders, Dragons, Battlehawks, and Wildcats, what nickname would have you given DC, Seattle, St. Louis, and Los Angeles?

Here we imagine a scenario in which the three biggest leagues of arena/indoor football, the AFL, the IFL, and the NAL, merge into one grand reconstituted Arena Football League.
ATLANTIC CONFERENCE
CONTINENTAL CONFERENCE
NORTHEAST
MID-ATLANTIC
SOUTHEAST
NORTH
CENTRAL
WEST
Albany Empire
AC Blackjacks Carolina Cobras Bismarck Bucks
Columbus Destroyers
Arizona Rattlers
Massachusetts Pirates Baltimore Brigade Columbus Lions Green Bay Blizzard
CR River Kings
SD Strike Force
New York Streets Philadelphia Soul
Jacksonville Sharks QC Steamwheelers
Iowa Barnstormers
Tucson Sugar Skulls
Washington Valor
Orlando Predators Sioux Falls Storm
Nebraska Danger
For filling in the two gaps for the NE and the West, could you see teams in either Hartford, Bridgeport, Providence, Quebec City, London, or Halifax for the NE Division? And Reno, Spokane, Fresno, Portland, Boise, or SLC for the West Division?

Right now I'm going with Griffins mostly because I really like Griffins as a mascot, but I might change to fit more.
Is that a take on the old Griffith stadium?

I'm struggling to think of a replacement name for Real Salt Lake. I know, I know, as terrible as the name is, it has become a staple of the league. Fooey to that. Anyone have name ideas?
- Crossroads FC
- SLCity SC
- Hive Salt Lake
Would you be interested in starting a concept where all MLS clubs have Americanized nicknames?
Then after that, maybe the USL?

I remember reading somewhere that during the 1902 and 1952 MLB seasons, there was a proposal for the current cities with a single team, to have a second team. Not sure how accurate this information was. Maybe someone can verify this?
Anyways, maybe someone can do a series showing expansion teams in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Washington DC?
