  1. I mostly lurk and haven't commented on any thread in ages. I have to say, this is one of the best I've seen. Do I have my nitpicks? Sure. Are there sets that I don't like as much as others? Sure. However, I don't really think that matters much because, overall, this effort is creative, thoughtful and really well executed. Great work!!
  2. I like the new Browns unis but that is f-Ing great.
  3. Nope. It's been pointed out that we have many artists and graphic designers here who see the value in tradition. Being a "visual artist" isn't the reason you like these. And no, not everyone here is "graphic oriented." I haven't taken an art class since high school and every single concept I've made has been done in MS Paint. The whole mentality just comes off as smug. If you like the new look, cool. All the power to you. It's not because you're an artist though. Not only has the premise been proven false but the premise itself reeks of an undeserved sense of superiority. "No wonder the rabble doesn't like it. They aren't artistic like I am." Way to get worked up about your own misinterpretation. Relax, he wasn't attacking anyone, just making an observation and floating a theory.
  4. I'm with you. I thought these unis were going to be Nike abortions like the Jags or Bucs but I think they're a respectful modernization of an iconic uniform. I like the bold chest wordmark and I think the pant leg wordmark works from a distance, which is where most of us will be viewing it from when we're watching games.
  5. Consider altering the Mark Price era Cavs alternate logo so that two baseball bats crossed make up the two branches of the V and replacing the basketball with a baseball.
  6. I like the purple-on-white Boise update much better. I also like the gold and green Reno color scheme and love the logo, especially the crown on the back of the helmet. The only suggestion would be to use some sort of dark outline around both the crown and the double-R logos on the helmet because you lose the gold portions of the logo in the base color of the helmet and on the home jerseys.
  7. To my eye, the the home set jersey and pants clash and are a little hard on the eye.
  8. Really nice work on Spokane. The only nitpick I have is that the "S" on the helmet logo might benefit from a bit of definition so that it doesn't disappear against the "rapid" background.
  9. Really like Co. Springs. I think the logo on the helmet could benefit from a thicker black outline and, on the home set, a bit of black accent on the jersey aside from the numbers and letters to tie it in to the pants a bit more.
