  1. The 1997-2003 Blue Jays uniforms took cues from the World Serie-era...and were horrible! Agreed, but let's be honest, they're not going back to that look. If they're going to take cues from the past, I'd be absolutely shocked if it wasn't either the pullover-era uniforms or the World Series-era uniforms that get modernized a bit. I hope so, provided the modernizing doesn't go overboard. The World Series-era uniforms with the all-blue hat are my all-time favourite set: the logo, number font, and lettering were great. Interesting how during road telecasts most Jays fans in opposition ballparks seem to be wearing the original logo.

  3. What about the Bluefield Blue Jays and Dunedin Blue Jays? Their entire identities are based on the current Jays logo, and the Bluefield one is brand-spankin' new. What minor league teams do don't mean much, the Pulaski Blue Jays used the old T-Bird logo for about 5 years after the Jays ditched it; the Medicine Hat Blue Jays were using the 80s jays logo and fonts up until the early 2000s. I spoke to the British company hired by the Blue Jays to do their re-branding, they gave no comment but referred me to a Canadian partner of theirs who is handling this client -- TAG is the name (http://www.idearevolution.ca/), they kept saying "get back to us in a week" until I finally gave up and assumed no comment was on its way. So if the Jays have hired a British company to do their re-branding, we can assume that the World Series era logo and uniforms will stay retired? That'd be a shame...instead of yet another new look, I'd prefer they just stick with their current set if they won't go back to the classic look.
  4. now this is bugging me- on nflshop under 'Men's-Buffalo Bills-Performance Apparel' they have last year's Bills longsleeve shirt (top right for $29.99) and this year's version on the top left ($33.99)...and the 2009 version appears to be a shade darker when compared side by side, just like the jersey. Did the Bills change their "official" dark navy to umm, really dark navy? NFLshop.com
  5. I was at a store today looking for a blue throwback Bills jersey (no such luck) but they did have a new navy Owens one on the rack beside a navy Lynch jersey...and for some reason the Owens jersey looked a shade darker when compared side by side. The Lynch jersey had the old NFL logo (with more stars) on the collar, the Owens the current NFL shield. Is this just a manufacturing thing or did the Bills change the shade of navy from last year to now? btw, I didn't buy either one...
  6. My guess is that they'll end up using the Canada Cup logo, similar to the WJ alternates this year.
  7. So apparently the Bills are status quo uniform-wise next season?
  8. Small teaser pic of the Sens 3rd jersey, to be unveiled 22-11-08: http://senators.nhl.com/index.html (story 5)
  9. This morning's Ottawa Sun has an article claiming that black jersey from the Icethetics site is the official Sens third jersey: Ottawa Sun No way that is the actual script- right?
  10. If Miami wore these against the Bills throwbacks, that'd be a great looking matchup. Of course this year it would be in Toronto, not Buffalo but I digress. The Bills have to be the most glaring example of a team's alternate uniform being so much nicer than their regular look. The Bills throwback game against the Raiders will also be sharp...imagine a white version of the Buffalo throwbacks? Awesome!
  11. It's just a concept (albeit a nice one) that someone created, nothing authentic. We get SENS instead. btw, pretty much 0% of what that Kevin Lee guy writes turns out to be valid. Him and Andy Strickland are the WORST people on the site. Neither know their ass from a hole in the ground... honestly... I agree completely. Lee is an idiot. So far this summer he's "announced" Peter Deboer as Ottawa coach, a Chris Neil for Cam Barker trade, an Antoine Vermette for Ryan Kesler trade, an Ottawa-LA-Chicago 3-way deal, and Jason Williams signing with Ottawa as a free agent. Great work, jackass- none of it was true. Hockeybuzz basically throws out a hundred rumours and if one turns out, they say "see, told you so."

  13. No, it's confirmed that it'll be "Sens". The guy who posted those logos just didn't have those. Oh well. At least it's black, not gold.
  14. Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, and St. Louis Blues are "TBD" So, maybe faint hope that Ottawa didn't go with the rumoured "Sens" on the jerseys? I'm really hoping the updated profile logo they unveiled last year actually you know...appears on a jersey. SENS is just lame.
