  1. Badass collection of old-school Padres gear on @LobShots. The @Padres really used to strut their unique identity. http://t.co/3p5cLMe5GH

  2. No way, Padres need to rebuild their watered down identity, and go back to brown and gold. Your design is cool, but changing colors again would be the worst possible thing they could do to a uniform that is already commonly considered the worst in baseball. What are you talking about the padres have one of the cleanest looks in the MLB. Why ruin that with sh** brown an piss yellow? There a reason why that color scheme is almost never used, it's hideous. You call it the cleanest look in baseball, ESPN calls it a "generic slate of blandness" and ranks it 30 out 30. But I'm sure they're the ones with no taste, not you.

  4. The pinstripes seem to be pretty polarizing. People love them or hate them. I am not married to the idea but I think the Padres looked pretty good in them from 85-2000, so I like to include it in the mix just to see it. Can't reduce the stripe size on the arms though. That's pretty much what I started with. I love em and I feel it ties the whole design together.
  5. Good comments, I'm hoping that off-white coloring of the jersey and the fact that the script is a different font differentiates it enough from the Dodgers. I feel like they currently look like Dodger posers by wearing navy blue, which is not their original color. They could use this look as a base and add yellow stroke to the font and numbers, and it would still be good. But this combo was too good to pass up. As for the road jersey, it's admittedly the least thought-out of the 5, but "San Diego" in block letters is something the Padres have used for decades dating back to the 1940s minor league team. I don't think the similarity to the Giants here is very strong, especially since the Giants have a pretty ubiquitous road jersey anyway.
  6. Can't stand the current script. It's way too modern and contrived. Doesn't fit with the clean simple look typical of the best baseball uniforms.
  7. So you're a Tigers fan whose preference is that the Padres have a blue and orange color scheme...just like the Tigers... Brown and gold are the Padres' original colors, and San Diego fans love those colors. It's a cool retro look that tons of people rock in San Diego already. They would sell merchandise like crazy.
