Chargers really decided to wear the royal uniforms against a blue team and the navy uniforms against a navy team 🤦‍♂️

Actually the Royal game against the giants should be fine, NY is pretty much a red team on the road now. I agree about navy vs the Patriots… I thought they’d wear it against the Chiefs on TNF or the Steelers on SNF. Would have been much better contrast

I love @canzman's weekly uniform posts but 99% of the time multiple games are wrong. I'm wondering what's the point in posting the uniform matchups until they're actually confirmed by the teams? Again, I love the effort but so many matchups are wrong the posts almost seem moot, and are never corrected.

They’re reasonable guesses and it’s a fun thing to kick off some discussion

Now that August is here, we should get jersey schedules from the following teams in the coming days/weeks based on recent years:

    Panthers

    Falcons

    Chargers

    Bengals

    Buccaneers

    Giants

    Dolphins

    Bears

    Seahawks

Most teams wait until after the preseason is over, there’s usually a day or weekend where like 5-10 teams will drop the entire jersey schedule. This will probably be around the new “bye week” after preseason week 3 and before week 1. I remember Seattle dropped a jersey schedule on the Saturday night before week 1 last season.

Jerseys won’t change on a jersey schedule, only pants and socks. Once they submit Atleast their home schedule to the league they are locked in as far as jerseys go.

Some things are still subject to change, most likely example is probably if a game is flexed or rescheduled. If a team is flexed into SNF, I could see them switching to an alternate Jersey, like the 49ers in week 17 2019 at Seattle. Another example is last year dolphins were scheduled to wear aqua vs the jets but ended up wearing white because the game was rescheduled to an earlier week. I’d say Jersey schedules are pretty much set in stone but are subject to change given reasonable circumstances.

Also addressing a different post: Jags might be ditching white at home now that teal is the primary, and I’m all for it!

Broncos announced jersey schedule today... Oddly, road whites for every game, including at Dallas.

Interesting, Jacksonville isn’t going white at home either… also I wished Denver saved the navy jerseys for non divisional opponents, maybe the Bengals to break up the Orange or vs. WFT. Good choice for color rush, all orange vs white/green against Philadelphia will look good. Also I hope this doesn’t happen but I can see the Ravens or jets wearing their color rush vs Broncos orange home unis like the bucs and browns have done in the past.

  6. NFL did good with this one... one helmet rule was stupid and now we can see some of the throwbacks we missed. Worth pointing out that different helmet colors will only be allowed for throwbacks so it should spare us some dumb alternates.

I kinda wanna see them in a yellow throwback. It'd be weird, but cool to see!

I agree,  I like the lighter shade of green in the ‘35 and ‘50 uniforms, but the yellow ‘52 ones would be refreshing. I don’t think there’s a single team in the nfl with a yellow jersey right now (primary or alternate). Last I can remember is the rams old color rush. Maybe rams will also make a yellow alternate this year.

Why are you posting a jersey that could never be worn due to the modern template?  The sleeveholes would be at the seem above the swoosh, yet the sleeve design is entirely below it.

Agreed, if this was worn on field, it’s just a green t shirt with numbers

The Jets gotham green vs the Panthers all white is going to be great. Both of these teams made changes to their uniforms in 2019. The Jets with the overhaul redesign, and the Panthers modifying their uniform.

Panthers in blue over white vs jets in white over green would be a beautiful color clash. But panthers will probably save the blue jerseys for the Saints, Cowboys or Eagles games.

Lets get all neon vs all highlighter yellow and play it at Boise St!!!

Seahawks are probably more likely to wear neon green against the 49ers or Saints this year. Maybe even on the road. But I can’t see them wearing any neon green combo on TNF against the rams because of how horrible the contrast will be against bone. Last time something similar happened was in 2018 on TNF vs the Packers. Seattle wore navy instead of green on TNF because it would be ugly if it was paired against the Packers yellow helmets with the all white. Wouldn’t surprise me if Seahawks rams is navy vs bone

  11. Thought I'd get the ball rolling for some discussion in this thread now that the schedule is out, here are my predictions for the uniform matchups in the Seahawks schedule this year:

    P1: Seahawks @ Raiders

    white/navy vs black/silver

    P2: Broncos @ seahawks

    white/white vs navy/navy

    P3: Chargers @ Seahawks

    white/yellow vs navy/navy

    Week 1: Seahawks @ Colts

    white/white vs blue/white

    Week 2: Titans @ Seahawks

    white/columbia vs navy/navy

    Week 3: Seahawks @ Vikings

    white/navy vs purple/white

    Week 4: Seahawks @ 49ers

    white/navy vs red/gold (maybe red/white '94 throwback)

Week 5: Rams @ Seahawks TNF

    bone/royal vs navy/navy

Week 6: Seahawks @ Steelers SNF

    white/gray vs black color rush

Week 7: Saints @ Seahawks MNF

    white color rush vs green/green

    Week 8: Jaguars @ Seahawks

    white/teal vs navy/navy

    Week 10: Seahawks @ Packers

    white/navy vs green/gold

    Week 11: Cardinals @ Seahawks

    white/red vs navy/navy

Week 12: Seahawks @ Washington MNF

    navy/grey vs white/white

    Week 13: 49ers @ Seahawks SNF

    white/gold vs green/navy

    Week 14: Seahawks @ Texans

    white/navy vs red/white

    Week 15: Seahawks @ Rams

    grey/grey vs royal/yellow

    Week 16: Bears @ Seahawks

    white/navy vs navy/navy

    Week 17: Lions @ Seahawks

    white/blue vs navy/navy

    Week 18: Seahawks @ Cardinals

    grey/grey vs red/red

When Washington decided to bring back the white over white for the first time in well over a decade for their Monday Night game against the Steelers (promptly ending the Pittsburgh’s undefeated season), I was ecstatic to say the least. It brought back a lot of good memories of the early 2000s Joe Gibbs led team.

Here’s to hoping they make it the majority default away choice

I hope they mix it up and keep a balance, white over burgundy is still a solid look. They play 9 away games next season. Ideally they go 4 games with white/white, 4 games with white/burgundy, and 1 game with white/yellow just to mix things up. It should be based on what pants the other teams wear. Also for their home games, I’d like to see 5 in burgundy/white, 1 throwback, 1 all burgundy, and 1 burgundy/yellow

The first five pics, sure... not so sure about the monochrome all-black combination....

I wonder what that set would look like with teal pants. Black Jersey/Teal Pants and White Jersey/Teal Pants are some underrated combos from the current Jaguars set.

But there is a history of red/orange matchups and it’s not even that long ago. Within the last decade there were 3 or 4 matchups that made the NBA make rules about certain colors not playing against eachother like red/orange, geeen/teal, orange/yellow. I guess those rules went away and we get what happened the other night

I remember in the last few years, we have seen the hornets grey uniforms go up against white and the sixers cream against white as well.spacer.png

  15. Idk if the Texans discussion is still going on but I wanted to add that this was the Texans best combo:

    spacer.png

It looks especially good with the red socks. I believe they’ve only worn it once in franchise history during a late season home game against the Jaguars in 2016. In my opinion, if the Texans stick with navy as a primary, they should keep a red/white home game, and replace one of the two color rush games with this beauty.
Also what the hell happened to the painted navy end zones for the Texans:

    spacer.png
They had them for one year, also 2016, and then ditched them. Idk why they can’t have painted end zones, they play indoors on turf and I don’t think they share the stadium with anyone.

  16. What color end zones do you think the teams are rolling with. I think Bucs go red with a black wordmark and Chiefs will probably stick with yellow just like last year. Hopefully chiefs in yellow end zones helps with what will be a red-heavy game. Also I’m curious to see what shade of red the Bucs end zones will be. They used a brighter red during the alarm clock era, but switched back to their unique darker shade with the rebrand last year.spacer.png
