I am absolutely not from Houston and can't speak for anyone, but I find it extremely hard to believe that the Titans just wanted to do a tribute to the Oilers by choosing to wear the throwbacks against Houston. The closest comparison I have to this situation is the Carolina Hurricanes wearing Whalers throwbacks, which Connecticut residents are pretty much universally pissed about. It really does feel like a shallow cash grab that's disrespectful towards the previous city to me, and I know I'm not alone in that sentiment.

Thing is, the Houston Oilers became the Tennessee Titans, despite the move it's considered the same franchise (they wore AFL throwbacks in 2009). If the Titans shouldn't wear Oiler unis, then who should?

Haha, @jamesizzo, the page forcibly reloads itself a lot, sometimes losing the message I’m composing in the process. It reloaded as I was typing the word “set” this time. I don’t think I hit the post button, but sometimes the box does jump around the screen.

    oh my bad

It's sad that we've reached a point where it's considered an "upgrade" if a team doesn't completely screw up their redesign, no matter how uninspiring it is.

This whole process has become exhausting with all the teasers, leaks, hype videos, fake names of colors, gimmicky names of uniforms, backstories behind the most trivial uniform details, etc.  I miss when a team would say they are releasing the uniforms on a certain date and then post photos of players in those uniforms on that date.

Oh, and I can't even remember the last team to release a new uniform that didn't feature at least one Color Rush/monochrome uniform option. Is it a requirement at this point?

to be fair, isn't that kinda what all the teams that have unveiled new unis this season have done?

  4. Sucks that there's no stripes on the blue pants. Don't know why that became such a trend to remove pant stripes in the NFL.

other than that the new unis are great love the helmet especially.

Someone has to explain this to me. All I see is a cheap version of what the Mavericks wore at the same time. The fonts don't match the ones in the logo (which don't match each other), the full team nickname doesn't fit but they didn't go with Minnesota either, I just don't get it. It looks like they ordered them from a catalogue like a suburban high school team. Was that the appeal all along?

probably just the colors, the unis themselves as you said were pretty forgettable

They're envious that Vegas immediately put together a good team and front office instead of sucking ass for decades like a REAL franchise. Plus they're from Las Vegas and it's hot and sunny there which is bad for... some reason

If you're pissing off Canadians, that's how you know you're doing something right. (I say as I comment on the Canadian message board)

Just what every fan wants: to suddenly be told that all the shirts in their closet are now useless.

How would a team changing color schemes make all previous merchandise useless? I'm sure Bucs fans can wear both the pewter and creamsicle merch without any problem

Chiefs have already become more unlikeable, boring, & arrogant than those Patriots teams.

Patriots at least had the Brady-Manning rivalry that made things fun. Nothing KC has done has been anywhere near exciting as that.

The lack of self-awareness is insane. The Chiefs are only on their second championship in the Mahomes Era, and you got to experience 20 years of dominance.
